you forgot to pack some things for your trip
which meant you had to go back home. suna
was "already too comfy" on the couch
sandwiched between sakusa and suzume,
tooooo tired from your group's previous plan;
osamu was busy cooking a late night dinner
and preparing snacks for the road; and that
meant atsumu was the only contender to
drive you back home.

he made no complaints, making sure to call
everyone trash before grabbing his keys to
take you home.

he sits politely at the edge of your bed, waiting
patiently as you rummaged through your
belongings. this is the first time he's been in
your room in person. sure he's seen in through
video calls, but things were always different in
person. he finds himself admiring just how
much your room reflects who you are.

"sorry that i'm dragging you
back here, tsumu."

you let out a small sigh.

"i was in a bit of a rush earlier
this morning and i know you're
tired so this definitely sucks."

atsumu laughs lightly.

atsumu
"yer fine."

atsumu
"i'd drive ya back 'ere without
complaints if ya ended up
forgettin' somethin' again when
we get back, ya know."

this time you scoff.

"i'm not that forgetful."

he laughs.

atsumu
"'m just sayin'"

atsumu
"that's how much m'not actually
bothered."

you turn to face atsumu with a playful glare
and he gives you a warm smile. his eyes
squint and his cheeks puff out, and for a
second, your chest tightens. you're quick
to turn away, however, shaking your head
slightly as a smile forms on your lips.

for some reason, it feels like you haven't
seen him smile like that since... forever?

it reminded you of how awkward things have
been feeling lately. you wonder if right now
would be a good time to say something
considering the fact that the both of you
are alone. after all, it would be good to
clear the air just before the trip to osaka
starts.

a part of you feels like it's the wrong move
to make, though, and you don't know why.

atsumu
"are ya packin' yer polaroid,
by the way?"

you're taken from your thoughts and your
attention is placed back onto atsumu. you
don't turn to face him as you respond.

"m'not, actually."

"hinata was saying he's
bringing his polaroid and then
a film camera. he told me i
could borrow whichever one
he's not using and he's okay
to share film!"

"i've got a set of polaroid film
though that i'll give to him."

atsumu
"sweet of him."

atsumu smiles.

atsumu
"well, sweet of ya, too."

atsumu
"i haven't put any new thoughts
'bout gettin' a camera but film
sounds cool."
