It was a normal day, the teacher had been teaching since 12 am, it was so tiring listening to her.. As I had been awake since 2 am studying for a test.. I almost fell asleep, thankfully someone tapped my shoulder, to wake me up before the teacher noticed.
The teacher was about to assign us all with a project that was going to be challenging our research skills to the extreme.. The project was to be submitted by the end of term.
“This will account for 15% of your grade! Choose a appropriate topic, you can work in groups”
Saying this, she just left the auditorium ..
Everybody made their groups, I was feeling quite awkward..
“So.. umm… Do you guys have.. Any.. umm… space left in your group?” I asked, it was so awkward, I was stumbling over my words.
One of them, who was focusing on his phone, looked up and said “ Don’t you have a group or something?”
The rest didn’t even bother to look, I was dying on the inside, anxiety always got the best of me..
I was done, I was tired of being overlooked as being a nerd who couldn’t stand up for himself. So, I gathered some courage and shouted..
“Can you guys hear me?!”
Impressed by my ability to defend myself, they finally decided to listen to me and let me in their group.
It was surprising how I was let into their group, as they are not the kind of people to let a cowardly person like me in. Everyone in college feared them and some even respected them.
They are known for their cold behavior and attitude throughout college.
