You're really driving me crazy,
You know that?
Just when I promised myself to let you go,
To stop falling for you,
When I swore to stop texting you,
Putting some space between us,
You text me first.
And I thought, well,
Let's not get our hopes up,
It'll stop there.
Again, you surprise me,
Striking up a conversation.
You, with me?
Months ago I would've laughed.
We didn't start off with the right feet,
Yet here you are:
"Miss me?"
Yes, yes I do,
Though I'm not sure if I should be happy or not.
Now that I'm trying to give up,
You have to strike back.
This tactic feels familiar,
It's a painful deja vu.
Nothing that'll stop me from smiling like an idiot.
Look, you texted me again.
