The Make Over

Nico knocks on my door at seven. "Val, get your gorgeous arse out of bed. We have a busy day ahead of us."

"Go away." I yell.

He laughs. "No, you've got five minutes. If your not up I'll come in." I hear the keys jiggle through the front door.

Damn it, Nico!

I kick the sheets off and step out of bed. I put on a pair of shorts and t-shirt a run my fingers through my hair as I open the door.

Nico walks into the condo with coffee and croissants. "Here you go, babe."

I open the bag to the plain croissant. In the fridge I pull out jam and margarine. I butter it and take a bite out of my freshly baked breakfast. "Hmm," I moan. "Thanks for breakfast."

He smiles. "Your welcome."

I wash my sticky fingers and brush my teeth before leaving the house with my best friend. Nico love being at the shopping centre as the shops start to open at nine.

Nico and I walk out the door and head to the shopping centre.

Nico turns to me. "You need a make over, beautiful."

I smile. "That sounds like fun. What do you have in mind?"

"Dying your brown locks blonde, make-up and new clothes."

I sigh. "Okay, I'm scared."

He laughs. "Don't be. Have I ever steered you in the wrong direction?"

I shake my head. "You always make me look and feel better about myself every time we do this together."

"Good, let's go to the hairdresser first. Matty should be working today."

We walk into M.C.

Matty is at the desk and he smiles at us when we enter the shop. "Well look at what the cat dragged in. What can I do for you two today?"

Nico looks at me. "She needs another make-over. Valentina is going to a wedding and she hired an escort from Hubby for Hire."

Matty whistles. "Damn, you're going to need to look hot. What colour hair this time?"

"Blonde, a side fringe and layered. I need to make her look like a blonde bombshell. Those baby blue eyes of hers needs to pop. Is Gretchen here today?"

The woman steps out of her back room. "Yeah, I'm here. Hey, Nico and Valentina."

I really don't like Gretchen.

I put up with her to get the discounts from being friends with Nico.

After my hair and make-up we walk around the shops and we stop at Bras n things. I purchase five bras, lingerie and a Larissa Babydoll see through sleepwear and three pairs of boy legs.

Then we walk into a clothes store and I purchase three cut-off denim shorts, three short sleeve t-shirts, a jacket and a jumper.

On the way to the next store we stop at a wedding shop. "Go in there and choose a dress for the wedding and I'll buy I for you."

I shake my head. "I can buy everything myself."

"I know. Since I won't be there with you I want to get you a present for putting up with me today and getting this make-over."

I nod. "Okay, I want you to help me choose the dress."

He smiles. "Let's look for the perfect dress. You should outshine your sister."
