HAYASHI MIYU WAS AN IRRESPONSIBLE TEENAGER.
She was the friend that parents didn't trust their
children with, the one that got the blame thrown on
whenever they would get into trouble, because what's
one more spec of dirty on an already filthy rug? Miyu
was a bad example and influence, picking up on things
she had seen around her house and convincing her
friends to do the same. They would be out all night,
partying, drinking, smoking, gambling, and Miyu would
reassure them with the same phrase that her parents
drilled into her head. 'YOU HAVE ONE LIFE, DO
WHATEVER YOU WANT, AS LONG AS YOU DON'T DIE'.
ONCE HER FAMILY FELL INTO DEBT FROM MIYU'S
ACTIVITIES WITH HER FRIENDS AND HAD NO WAY
TO PAY THEM BACK, MONEY WAS BORROWED FROM
LOAN SHARKS UNDER MIYU'S NAME. Miyu had no idea
that the loan had been taken out under her name,
until she started getting weekly visits from them,
demanding the money. At that point, Miyu suddenly
realized the weight of the situation. Her family could
collapse because of her, with the loan sharks taking
any and all of their income. So, she began actually
trying in school, desperately trying to get good grades
to find a well paying job to pay off all the money she owed.
AND SHE DID IT. She managed to get her grades up, going
from having the worst grades and attendance in her year
level to having a perfect attendance and graduated at the
top of her class. Not long after graduation, she began her
studies at at Keoi University with a scholarship she had
been given. Miyu started a marketing business from scratch,
and it unexpectedly skyrocketed. She quickly became one
of the youngest CEO's of a business that was estimated to
make over ¥5,000,000 in the first year.
EVERYTHING CHANGED FROM HER WHEN THE LOAN
SHARKS FOUND OUT ABOUT HER SUCCESS. They showed
up to her office, uninvited and with bulky men with weapons
everywhere in and around the building. With a gun at her
forehead, they demanded that she signed over the business
to them and her debts would all be forgotten. If she refused,
she would get a bullet in the head and they would shut down
her parent's little bakery that resided in the outskirts of Nagoya.
