Chapter 6 - The return

"So, Elena, what's new with you?" Harley said. 

"Well.... I did find someone. He's coming over in the morning to take me too breakfast!"

"Omg! who is it!" Alya said with a big smile. 

"The crazy part about it is Stefans best friend." Elena said while covering her face. 

"Omg no... how does Stefan feel?" Harley said. 

"Well, he's actually okay with it, but if he hurts me then Stefan will kill him."

We all laughed. "what's his name?" I spoke. 

"Damon Salvatore."

"Sexy name" I said with a giggle. 

We all giggled and had another cup of wine. 

"So Mari, how's you and Luka?" Elena said. 

Everything went dark. My mind shut off and I immediately started to cry. Everyone looked at me shocked except for Harley. She already knew the story and she hate how much I have to repeated it all the time. I never wanted to look back into that time of my life. I wanted to move forward. I looked up and everyone and finally spoke. 

"We broke up and I left him. I'm hiding from him. He abused me every day and i never got to see my family or you guys anymore because of him, he wouldn't let me attend my senior year, he took me away and I was stuck. I wanted to die at some points, But I finally had the courage to leave him today and I've been with Harley ever since."

Elena and Alyas mouths dropped. Elena came over to me and hugged me and then went back and sat down. Alya was looking at me with this weird look and I looked back at her. It was like she was trying to see if I was lying. 

"Why are you looking at me like that Alya?"

"Are you seriously lying to our faces right now Mari?" She gave me a death look and spoke up again. "It's not cool to lie like that, if u didn't love Luka anymore then you should've just said that."

I literally looked at her shocked. How could she even say that? Did she talk to luka?

"Are you fucking serious right now Alya?" Harley said angry. 

"Why the fuck would I lie about that Alya. You are supposed to be my best friend and you're sitting her saying this to me? You don't know what happened to me and what I had to go through the past three years. He took me away from you guys and barley seen you guys. I had to sneak out to see you guys. Did you not see that? Did you not see that it was strange that I had to do that? You obviously don't know me like you say you do."

"I talked to Nino Mari. He went to see luka and luka was crying saying you left him and just gave up on him. Thats fucked up." Alya said, looking at me with daggers. 

"We are leaving because I'm looking around the room and you can't even see the reason of heartbreak aura coming from her. The tears stained inside her mind and her broken heart written across her chest. You are supposed to be our friend, and this is what you're doing." Harley said standing up. 

"I cant believe you Alya."

Alya looked at me. "I'm sorry Mari, I believe you, but Nino told me that and I don't even know what to believe anymore."

I looked at her shocked. All the anger builds inside of me from Luka finally came pouring out. 

"YOU SHOULD TRUST ME. IM YOUR FRIEND AND IVE BEEN HERE LONGER THAN NINO. IVE BEEN BESTFRIENDS WITH YOU SINCE MIDDLE SCHOOL. I GOT ABUSED AND GOT MY HEART STOMPED ON. I GOT YOU GUYS TAKEN AWAY FROM ME. I CAN'T EVEN SEE MY MOM AND DAD ANYMORE. BECAUSE OF YOU. YOUR SUPPOSSED TO BE THERE AND YOUR NOT."

Alya looked at me in shock. She stood up and looked at me with a straight face. 

"Stay here, luka is coming over and you guys are going to talk."

I froze. He was coming here. I didn't know what to do. I had to get out of here. I need to go. 

Harley walked up to Alya and slapped her. "DO YOU SEE WHAT YOU DONE. YOU'RE GOING TO GET HER KILLED." Harley screamed. 

Elena stood up and walked over to me and Harley. 

"I'm sorry you guys. Mari get out of here. I'll keep him distracted. be safe, I love you guys."

Harley grabbed my arm and dragged me to the front door. All the sudden the earth stopped, and the doorbell rang. 

"Alya let me in! I need to talk to mari" Luka said loud.

I froze. No, no , no this can't be happening right now. I need to get out of here. Harley whispered to Elena. 

"Do you have a back door we can go out of?"

Elena nodded and pointed to the back of the house. Harley dragged me to the back and pushed me outside. Harley followed behind me and peaked around the corner before exiting. 

I heard the door open and Elena start talking to him. 

"Hi luka what brings you here?"

"Where is Mari."

"she's not here."

"You're lying."

Elena shook her head no. 

"WHERE IS SHE YOU DUMB BITCH" Luka yelled. 

Out of nowhere I heard pushing and screams. Harley gave me the keys and turned to me. 

"I need you to run to the car and call the joker and tell him to send his men here fast, lock the doors and hide in the back. I'll come get you when everything is done and said."

I nodded and ran really fast to the car. On the way to the car, I heard screams coming from the house and I instantly started to cry.

This is all my fault. I shouldn't have dragged Harley into this. I should've kept my big mouth closed and just said that everything was fine. I ruin everything. I finally reached the car and locked the doors of the car. I reached for Harley's phone. 

The phone rang once, and the phone answered. 

"Baby what's wrong." The joker said.

"Joker its Mari, Luka is here, and Harley is inside with him and all I hear are screams."

The joker didn't say anything and then I heard him yell. 

"EVERYBODY TO AB45 LOCATION NOW!!!"

Then the phone clicked. I threw the phone down and climb to the back seat. I looked through the window and saw all the lights off in the house. I was scared, I didn't know what to do. I layed in the back seat until further notice.
