"i'm not great at geometry, leave me alone." dylan said, and she only laughed again. he laughed as well, grabbing the roses and shoving them in her face.

"gross, dude, i just got a handful of rose petals in my mouth." madeline said, picking them out of her mouth as she giggled. she turned to see christopher sturniolo. "oh, hey chris."

"hey, mads." chris said, turning his head towards madeline. she smiled kindly as dylan smiled at chris as well. "hey, dylan."

dylan smiled and waved, instead of talking.

"what're you doing here? i thought you weren't romantic, you know, since you're a player and all?" madeline said with a smirk. she had no idea what she makes chris want to do.

"i would buy you flowers so, maybe i'm not a player." chris said, and he could swear that he seen a red tint wash over her cheeks. he smirked and watched as she thought of something to say back to him.

"oh yeah? then do it." madeline said, raising an eyebrow. she didn't expect chris to do it, not for her, at least.

chris would've asked what kind, but since he's basically obsessed with her, he already knew that it was roses. he smirked and grabbed the roses from the shelf, then walked to the cash register and payed for them. when he was done, he walked them over to madeline.

"your flowers that you requested, sunshine?" chris said, reaching them to her with a smile. her jaw dropped, and she giggled.

"how did you know that i like roses?" madeline asked, holding the roses in her hand. chris shrugged. "you're down bad, sturniolo."

"i mean, look at you." chris said, looking the girl up and down as a joke. madeline realized that she may have changed chris sturniolo. "you're literally perfect, anyone would be down bad for you."

"chris," she said with a smile, putting her hand over her mouth in embarrassment. her cheeks were absolutely flushed by now, and everyone could see it.

"madi, my sister came to take me to my grandmas." dylan said with a smile. he gave her a side hug before leaving the flower shop.

"you're blushing over me, by the way." chris said, smiling at the girl. she rolled her eyes and walked out, chris following suit. "if you want me, just say it, sunshine."

suddenly, madeline turned around to look at the boy she's had a massive crush on since sixth grade. that's why she was upset when he complemented her.

"you say all this stuff, but you could never settle down with someone, could you?" madeline said with a roll of her eyes. he frowned, knowing it wasn't true. when it came to madeline summers, he would settle down with her whenever she wanted. "see? you act as if you like me, then you go and hook up with some other girl for fun. it might be fun for you, but it's not fun for those girls. do you not consider other peoples feelings?"

"madi, listen, i think you may have uh. . . changed me, in a way? it's like, i don't want to ruin other girls lives anymore. i don't want to hook up with them just to never speak to them again, in fact, i don't want to hook up with them at all." chris said. "i'm going to be honest, i would block every girl on my snapchat, my instagram, my imessage, and any other app just for you."

madeline's eyebrows raise, trying to fathom what chris was saying.

"chris–"

"i get what i said was crazy, but you make me crazy. i would do basically anything for you to give me a chance and not just see me as a player." chris said, and madeline bit her bottom lip as she thought about it.

"fine. one chance, chris." madeline agreed, causing the boy to smile.
