I was following Raymond all morning. I wanted to know what he was up to because he looked miserable and I wanted to see if I could help in anyway. That and I just really wanted to talk to him alone for a bit. He had talked to Lord Gabriel for a bit then went outside and I hoped I could talk to him out there but once I realized where he was going, I froze.

I decided to hide behind a wall and watch as he walked right up To Clea, Marik, and Sir Salvador. Why does he have to go over there?

Raymond looked at Clea and pursed his lips together. They were all silent for a minute until he finally said something, "can I talk to you Clea? Uh... alone?" Why did he want to talk to her alone? I wanted to talk to him alone!

Clea looked at Marik who looked kind of angry as he glared at Raymond. What was happening?

"You can say whatever you have to say in front of them, I don't care." Clea answered with a shrug. She wasn't fit for Raymond at all and should just back off!

Raymond looked at Marik then back to Clea, as if he was scared of Marik. He shouldn't be scared of Marik, he had nothing to be afraid of. Marik was nothing compared to Raymond! "Clea, I don't know how to say this..." He paused and scratched the back of his neck. "I'm in love with you," he finally spit it out and quickly squeezed his eyes shut.

I felt the blood run from my face and everything went into slow motion. What? Did Raymond really just say that?

I saw Marik ball his hands into fist and start to walk towards Raymond. Clean then ran forwards and stopped him by standing in front of him. Marik looked at Clea hurt and she shook her head then turned back to Raymond who was staring at Clea wide eyed and hopeful.

Why did he love her and not me? It felt like I couldn't even breathe anymore. I loved him! Clea can't have him! She's probably not even human!

"Raymond," Clea started quietly then cleared her throat and spoke louder. She better not love him back, because... well I might do something I'd regret. He's mine! "I might have loved you too." Raymond's face slowly started to fall. What does she mean might have? "But we can't be together. We aren't in a world where two people who fall in love can get married. We are in your world, and here you are supposed to marry who your parents choose for you."

Raymond was frowning now and Clea looked as if she was about to cry. Why were they both upset? This was great news. She just proved that Raymond is for me and me only! This made that weird tight feeling in my chest just dissolve away as if it hadn't even appeared in the first place.

"We can't have everything in this world. We have to make sacrifices each and everyday. This is mine. It also has to be yours." Clea finished off and I smiled excited to myself. Clea won't be on my bad side anymore, not now that I have Raymond.

I let myself take a deep breath and relax, see I had nothing to worry about. I won't be losing Raymond today and that's all that mattered.

There were a few more words exchanged by the group but I didn't pay attention, I was back on a high of being in love and that's all that matters to me. The group then all got onto Raymond's dragon Ira and in no time were up in the air flying. I was kind of relieved that Clea and Marik were gone but I still wanted to talk to Raymond and now he was gone.

Guess I'm just going to have to wait.

I went back into the house, being careful as to where I walked. Now was a great time to think of a plan to try and get Raymond to fall back in love with me. I almost had his whole trust and then Clea just had to show up and ruin everything.

However, I guess there is a good reason that she came. She's going to save Lady Lucilla. Raymond looks up to her so much, and I can't even comprehend what he would do if she died.

Well, she did die that one time, but she came back. So it doesn't exactly count.

I sat down in the dining hall that was empty and thought, what can I do to make Raymond cheer up? He like Ira a lot, she always seems to make him happy in his worst moods. He likes doing his training, he talks about a bunch of different things he had to do while he was growing up. They're all very dangerous but if he likes them then I can't say no. There's also-

"Lady Holly!" Came a relieved sigh from the doorway of the dining hall. I turned to see Lady Lucilla's friend Sylvia walking in.

(A/N: Sylvia's name started out as Sylvia but halfway through book one I accidentally changed it to Serria in case you got confused. Its my fault and I plan on changing it soon.)

I gave her a polite smile as she sat across from me, "what can I do for you Sylvia?" I was kind of bored and stressed so why not try to entertain her for some time. It give me something to take my mind off Raymond until he come back and we can finally talk.

"Well I wanted to know if you wanted to learn how to fight?"

I stared at her open mouthed and appalled that she would even ask such a question. "I am a lady!" I argued and she just rolled her eyes.

"So is Lady Lucilla but she's the best fighter alive," Sylvia makes a good argument but I would never touch a sword.

"Never," I said and turned my face away from her to show I was done talking to her. She just let out a little laugh.

"We're in the middle of a war and Raymond won't be there all the time to protect you," Sylvia stood up and left the room. I cannot believe she just suggest that to me.
