Everyone was sitting quietly in the living room watching TV on the couch while Lily was supposed to be sleeping. Keyword: supposed.
Crying could be heard from the room and they could tell that their little sister had woken up.
"Oh no."
All three mobians ran upstairs to Lily.
"Oh, poor thing." Sonic said in his mind.
"Shhhh everything's fine." he took her in his arms and rocked her, trying to calm her down.
Suddenly Tails had an idea.
"Hey Lily! Look!" he said, getting her attention and then started making funny faces. Lily began to calm down and smile slightly.
"Wow. This really helps." Knuckles said.
When Tails made Lily laugh, he started wagging his tails like a little kitten. The girl started laughing and clapping her hands. Sonic chuckled at his little sister's actions.
"She seems to like your tails." he said to Tails and he chuckled.
"So you like it when I use them huh?" he said jokingly to Lily, wagging his tails again, causing her to laugh cutely again.
"Aww who's my cute little sister? Yes you are!" he said, taking her small hand gently.
"And to think you were the youngest here," Sonic said with a smirk.
"Yes, that's right, I was.
But now I have to be a good big brother to her." Tails said.
"And you're doing great at it, brother!" Knuckles said putting his arm around the fox and gave him a noogie and the fox started laughing.
"Okay Lily. Time to go back to sleep." Sonic said caringly as he put her to bed. For a few minutes they watched as their little sister began to fall asleep. Before they left, everyone gave her a kiss on the forehead and wished her sweet dreams.
"Sweet dreams Lily."
