when lightening strikes

He had tried everything: Dynamite, Booby traps, you name it. And they all failed in very painful fashion.

But there was 1 thing he hadn't tried yet to catch the Road Runner, and that was using lightening.

It was supposed to be stormy soon, and he figured if he used enough lightening rods in the right places, he could shock the Road Runner and catch him that way.

So, after getting all his supplies from Acme, Wile E set them up on the road. And then it started to rain. He took his hiding place behind the rock, and waited.

Then the Road Runner zipped on by, thunder clapped, then the lightening hit...

The rock instead of the rods.

Wile E was cooked like a barbecue.

'Drat!' He grumbled.
