Tap-tap-tap. Five minutes has passed.

Tap-tap-tap-tap. Ten minutes has passed.

Tap-rap-ta-tat. Twenty minutes has passed.

Rap-ta-tat-tap-tap. Thirty minutes has passed.

'Grrr'.

The rapping of his knuckles, against the hood of his car,had stopped abruptly. He growled lowly, his chest rumbling from the slightest bit of anger that he feels inside of him. His right-hand fingers raked through his wet, jet-black hair as it continues to glisten under the sun's rays. This action had caused some locks of hair to fall over his forehead, overshadowing his eyes.

'Where is that so called idiot of a best friend?'

Aiden rubbed his face with both of his palms, sighing in frustration. He folded his arms on top of his car's hood. Placing his jaw on his folded arms, and wincing as the bright blaze of the sun prickled his skin.

'Damn. It was scorching hot and he was so,so,very tired.'

Aiden began to think about how he was supposed to be at home by now, either taking a cold shower to get rid of the sweat from football practice. Or,he could be sipping a cold and chilling water,to quench his parched throat from thirst. He could be doing both too. Anything to quench the unbearable heat he feels in his system.

'If only his best friend had arrived on time,as he promised.'

Aiden groaned, stealing glances at his wristwatch, wondering where his best friend must've ran off to. He was beginning to get very irritated, the more time passed. ' He was wasting his precious energy and time.'

Lucky, his best friend, had specifically told Aiden that he'll be back within five minutes. Surprisingly, not only had five minutes passed, long time ago- but it was getting to an hour, straight. He clicked his tongue, resisting the urge to drive home, all by himself. Without Lucky, his best friend.

Aiden yawned. He raised his right arm and placed his cheeks on his folded fist. He looked at his environment, making out some tiny details in the distance.

It was the first week of summer holiday. It was Wednesday. Every one looked busy. Too busy, doing something or not. Shops were getting jam-packed by people every second, going in and going out. The park in front of him was filled up with family, friends and loved ones . People were just enjoying themselves and having the best times of their lives. They all chatted, laughed and played. From what he could observe, they were all making memories.

Some people didn't bother taking part in it,as they stood faraway from the scene, all by themselves. Some people were happy to join others in sharing their memories. They mingled, watched, took pictures,so on and so forth. It was, therefore,a very beautiful scene. The view was quite delightful.

'Its a shame he couldn't enjoy, what he saw,to the fullest.'

Aiden just assumed that,if he were to be less angry then,he would've been pleased at what he was seeing. Guess he was one of those people who chooses not to take part in the fun. Rather,he stood all by himself. Just watching.

Scrunching his nose and sniffing,he thought that he liked what he saw. Babies, toddlers, adults, teenagers, young, old, elders, children, males and females. They all had smiles on their lips, joy in their face. He really wanted to smile like that. He wanted to have a reason, even if it's just a feeling,to smile again.
