Disclaimer: Any art used in the chapters are not mine unless said so, though the cover was drawn by me :3 Also I'll be putting the song I listened to while writing, which has nothing to do with the story, I just figured I'd share

Hello readers! So I decided to rewrite this story a bit as it was more well received than I thought it was going to be. My goals for the rewrite is to write based off a timeline [which I made recently] and post a bit more often then the previous version! Anyway on to the first chapter.

Nightmare was like a father to the gang, while some of them acted like children, and some acted like incompetent adults. His gang started out as just a means to an end, a way to take over the multiverse, but over time, they became a new family for Nightmare after what happened. When Nightmare first became corrupted, he acted insane and lacked common sense, but over time, he healed and started caring for the balance instead of plotting ultimate negativity for everyone.

The first subordinate Nightmare had hired was Killer, the mischievous crying skeleton, who would cause more headaches for Nightmare than what was most likely tolerable for your average person.

Killer is about 5,3 with a large red target in front of his chest. He has no eyelights and streams of black tears run down his face. He wears white sports shorts with black lines on the sides, a black turtleneck, and a large puffy jacket with fur on the hood. He also wears fingerless gloves. He often brings a sharp knife everywhere he goes.

After several months of dealing with the high energy and annoying Killer, Nightmare opted to hire a much more quiet employee to balance them out. And so they brought Dust on board, a quiet and insane skeleton who would often go non-verbal when he was first hired.

Dust is about the same height as Killer. He wears classic black sports shorts with a gray t-shirt, and a classic blue hoodie with a thin gray hood. He usually has his hood up shrouding half his face in darkness. He has one red eyelight, and one half red half blue eyelight.

Dust did balance Killer out just like Nightmare had planned, but he found that he didn't want to be their personal cook. Killer always seemed to be asking him for food, like a child, and Dust would often go days without eating, which was just inconvenient. So Horror was brought from his AU and was told to make sure that the two were properly fed in exchange for Nightmare supplying Horror's AU with food, which certainly wasn't easy with Ink constantly being on his back with his 'Don't mess with the AU's story' philosophy.

Horror is about 6,2. The tall skeleton has a massive crack in the side of his head, and one glowing red eyelight. He usually has a massive two sided ax resting on his shoulder. His jacket seems more faded than the others jackets.

After the years that the gang spent together, Nightmare had become like a dad to them, and they were more like a family than anything. This was the gang for a long portion of time, Nightmare, Killer, Dust, and Horror. That was until Nightmare met the destroyer. The insane glitchy skeleton really piqued the gang's interest, and for a few years they tried to get Error to be part of their family, as he could really use some support and company.

Error is only about 3,9 and has black bones. He has blue tear streaks that go from his under-eyes to his jawline. He has error signs surrounding his body. His eye sockets are red instead of black, and he has one white eyelight, and one blue and yellow eyelight. His clothes look like he knitted them himself, he wears an extremely oversized blue, and black jacket, as well as a large blue scarf.

Eventually Error begrudgingly agreed to stay at the castle with them, and sometimes help them spread negativity. Over time he slowly melded into their family as well.

Even after spending that much time with them, Nightmare never told any of them about his full past with Dream, only that he was his brother, even though that technically wasn't true. You see, Nightmare wasn't really the Nightmare that was Dream's brother. The Nightmare present today was Corrupted, the more twisted, powerful version of Nightmare that was brought out when Nightmare ate the apples. The real Nightmare was dormant inside Corrupted, unaware of the things that were happening around him. Corrupted did have Nightmare's memories, and was technically a part of him, but he still didn't want to claim to be Dream's brother.
