Scene 1
Asya wanted an Islamic funeral for her child. The Islamic graveyard chosen for the funeral was in Birmingham. Nature played a prominent role.
Tall and graceful trees surrounded the graveyard. The leaves rustled softly, creating a soothing melody that accompanied the somber occasion.
The elegant writing displayed verses from the Quran and prayers.
The inscriptions on the gravestones were in Arabic letters. In the distance, a minaret rose against the sky, of a mosque.
It was the first non-Gypsy funeral the Shelby family had witnessed.
The air filled with a blend of grief and the echoes of prayers. The somber gathering included not only the Shelby family and the Peaky Blinders but also the entirety of Asya's family in.
Niyaz, Asya's father, held her close, his embrace a steadfast anchor in the storm of emotions. Asya clung to him like a child, her silent tears staining her face.
