Chapter 2: Don't Wander Too Far

We leave the hotel and I start showing them around the park. And Gray is taking pictures left and right. Pointing at things and telling us stuff about the dinosaurs even I didn't know about, and I'm the dinosaur lady's assistant. We head to the big Samsung pyramid where a bunch of fun activities are for kids. Gray was mesmerized by the giant holographic Stegasaurous when Claire started walking down the stairs.

"Zach? Gray?" She says smiling.

"Aunt Claire!!!" Gray yells running and giving her a big hug.

"Wow you guys have gotten so big! I'm sorry I couldn't have met you at the docks but Paisley will take good care of you and I'll see you tonight for dinner." Claire says.

"Okay." Gray says turning his attention to the movie screen teaching about the different dinosaurs they have at the park.

"Don't give her any trouble." Claire says pointing to me and I laugh.

"We won't." Gray says looking back at me and giving me a thumbs up.

"Bye Claire." I say and she leaves to go to the lab.

"Can we go outside and see the triceratops?" Gray asks me.

"Yeah of course! Let's go." I say and once again, Gray takes off running so I'm left with Zach, alone.

"I can still ride the triceratops! I'm short enough! Can I go?" Gray asks looking at Zach.

"Go for it." Zach answers and Gray goes and gets in line.

"He'll be busy for a little bit, do you want to walk around a little?" Zach asks looking at me.

"Sure! But we can't be too far from him." I say looking at Gray who looks like he's having the time of his life.

"Gray. We're gonna walk around for a little, we won't go to far. We will be back in about 15 minutes." Zach tells him.

"Okay okay." Gray responds, barely listening to his older brother.

Zach turns to me and we start to walk around the park a little.

"What's it like living here?" Zach asks me looking up at the cloudless blue sky.

"It's very humid. And it's always hot." I say somewhat complaining.

"You're hot..." He mumbles.

"What was that?" I ask giving him a weird look.

"Nothing nothing." He says looking away.

"Your little brother seems to be having a lot of fun here." I say looking around at all of the busy tourists.

"Yeah. He's a total dinosaur fan. I personally don't know much about them, but he knows pretty much everything under the sun about them." Zach says laughing.

"Well it's good that he's passionate about something. Speaking of Gray, should we get back to him?" I ask.

"Ugh I guess." Zach says sounding disappointed.

We walk back to where the triceratops ride is and Gray is nowhere to be found.

"Where the hell is he??" I say frantically looking around.

"He wasn't supposed to go anywhere!" Zach says obviously mad.

"Okay we'll find him, but first we need a plan." I say.

"Aye eye captain." Zach says saluting me.
