what good are any of my skills?
but the feelings of finding my calling
and is it truly enthralling
my purpose isn't to be perfect
it is to be an obedient student
my purpose isn't to please others
it is to please the Lord that saved me
my purpose isn't to be broken
it is to let him put me back together
my purpose isn't to be ashamed
it is to be proud of who He's made me to be
my purpose isn't to boast and flaunt pride
it is to be grateful and have humbleness
my purpose isn't to gain worldly praise
it is to have integrity and the Lord's satisfaction
my purpose isn't to cry tears of pain
it is to weep for joy for the Lord has a plan
my purpose isn't to be anxiety-ridden
it is to be trusting in His plan
my purpose isn't to wallow in depression
it is to thrive in His gracious sovereign
my purpose isn't to be rejected by the world
it is to abide in His heart
my purpose is to be a child of God.
