"Are you okay?" Gene spoke concerned down the phone to his girlfriend ruby, "yea..fine I gotta go I'm supposed to be helping my dad.. bye Gene" she replied sounding off almost upset or as if she'd been crying "what? Rubes are you o- *beep* she hung up before he could even ask her if she was okay again she only called him genie never Gene not unless there was something wrong, Gene was left feeling confused he didn't know what was wrong so he brought it upon himself to get a taxi to her house, as he approached her house he hesitated to knock usually he just walks in, he gently knocked on the door and rang the bell he heard foot steps coming to the door "oh heya Gene" Ruby's mother greeted him in her Irish accent "hi..erm is rubes here" he asked her worriedly fidgeting with his ring "oh yeah she's just gone to her room go on up to her love" she welcomed Gene in and he smiled in return "hi teddy" he greeted rubys dad that was watching the Man City match highlights "oh hi Gene" he replied in his Mancunian accent similar to his dads, Gene smirked as he kicked off his shoes going upstairs.

Ruby's pov:

I've been feeling so down lately I don't even know why I guess it's just nothing but I was sobbing now sobbing my absolute heart out I was a mess *knock knock* I heard gentle knocks on my bedroom door "yea?" I asked quietly trying to hide my sobs there was no answer so I quickly wiped my eyes with my blue long sleeved shirt, I opened the door to see my beautiful boyfriend looking worried, "wha-what's wrong rubes he said stepping in closing the door behind him without taking his eyes off me, I just admired him and broke down again, I felt his arm wrap around my waist and the other pulling my head into his chest he just let me cry and cry "come here" he said now picking me up around his waist  and walking over to my bed I was ready to talk.

Genes pov:
Her eyes were all puffy she'd been crying for ages her nose was red and her lips were swollen, I brought her over to the bed and let her rest with her legs wrapped around my waist while she was on my lap "tell me what's wrong darlin" I said trying not to sound worried, she sniffled and looked at me "im sorry Genie I'm just not okay right now my mental health is completely plummeted to the bottom...I'm sorry I'm not who I was I promise I'm trying to get better but I'm just so tired." She spoke in a croaky voice I couldn't help but tear up no matter how hard I tried "why are you sorry? We're together and I love you ruby no matter what you should've spoke to me when you started feeling like this your more than enough for me rubes and I promise you I'll always mean that I love you so much." I spoke my voice breaking in the middle "I love you too" she spoke taking my face in her hands placing her boiling hot swollen lips on mine "so much" she said again "MAAAAM GENES STAYING HERE TONIGHT TELL LIAM OR NICOLE WHICHEVER OR DEBBIE OR MOLLY OR LENNON SOMEBODY!!!!" She shouted down to her mum I laughed at her, I loved her so much she was so perfect,
We just spent the rest of the night watching rom coms and different movies and holding eachother tightly.
