I had been living in the city for a few years now, away from my family. But this year, I decided to to go back home and celebrate the new year with them. I packed my bags, hopped into my car, and began my journey.
As I drove through the snowy roads, I couldn't help but feel excited to see my family after so long. But my car got stuck in a sudden snowstorm. I tried to get my car moving, but it was no use.
"Shit!" I cursed and sighed.
I decided to take shelter in a nearby diner until the storm passed.
As I entered the diner, I noticed a handsome young man nearly my age sitting alone. He looked up and our eyes met, sending goosebumps through my body as I couldn't help but feel something to him.
Hello! " I said trying to start up a conversation.

Soon, we started up a conversation and I was surprised to find out that we had a lot in common. We both loved the same music, same hobbies, same goals and shared many same habits. As we talked, we didn't realised how time passes and the new year had arrived.
Look there! "He said while pointing towards the fireworks in the sky through the glass window.
"Beautiful" I said while admiring the beautiful sky.
We watched the fireworks together, I couldn't help but feel a strong feeling in my heart with this stranger. It was like we were meant to meet.
As the storm cleared and the roads were safe to drive on, we said our goodbyes with heavy hearts.
Oh no!! I gasped realizing we didn't even exchange our numbers or names.
Days passed I try to forget him but I failed. Feeling devastated, an idea popped into my mind and i post on social media to find him.
After some days, I got to know that he is also trying to find me on social media I got his number and quickly messaged him. I found out we live in the same city.
We started talking every day and soon, our conversations turned into dates. As we got to know each other more, our love for each other grew stronger. And before we knew it, we were madly in love with each other. Soon we confesses our feelings and started our love journey.
