Valerie decided to change into something a little more comfortable and annoyingly waited for everyone to leave.

But was it really annoyed that she was feeling or was it honest excitement.

Did she keep looking at the time to "get this over with"

Or was she just waiting for all of this to get started?

I mean she said it herself, she doesn't like him.

Her heart doesn't flutter a bit when he compliments her.

A smile doesn't escape her lips everytime he calls her baby.

And most importantly she doesn't think about the sweet interaction they had all they long.

She didn't like him.

She doesn't like him.

Isaac's POV

I stared at my phone trying to find literally anything to do.

I scrolled on tiktok but I couldn't focus.

I looked on Instagram but I couldn't focus.

I just kept thinking about the same thing over and over and over again.

The same thing that irritated me to a whole nother level.

The same thing that was so bitchy.

The same thing that had the prettiest smile ever.

I couldn't get it out of my mind.

I couldn't get her out of my mind and it was eating me alive.

Something about today felt different, like it felt like I was genuinely talking to her.

Like she enjoyed my presence.

It's not like I like her or anything [right?], I just maybe felt glad that she was comfortable here, comfortable around me.

Maybe that was the case, maybe the pounding in my chest and the pink that washed over my face was just-- just happiness.

Author's POV

Unfortunately for them Valerie and Isaac couldn't overthink for much longer because Aunt Katherine called them down.

"Don't set the house on fire or anything! Love you both." Aunt Katherine kissed them both on the head and left out.

awkward silence

"Guess it's just us." Isaac spoke

"Well duh?" Valerie groaned

However her emotion quickly changed once she noticed Isaac's sadden expression.

"Not like that. I mean like you know.." ... "We're alone wooo." She gave him a small smile

He chuckled "You're cute."

Valerie looked at him, sort of staring in a way.

I mean it was just so out of the blue.

"You're cute too." She said, shocking Isaac and herself aswell.

I mean no "piggy" or "i guess" or anything she just went for it.
