It's been a little over a month since Tommy and Minka left the concentration camp, Tommy has been spending that time teaching Minka to speak English, and in turn, Minka has been teaching him to speak Polish, they're sat on the bed in Tommy's bunker, reading books in eachother's languages, Tommy looks up from his book
"Okay, let's try this, read out a line"
Minka closely examines the book
"King Henry the..."
She squints
"Fifth?"
"Doing good so far"
She smiles at his comment
"Was the re-..."
She looks confused, showing the word to Tommy
"Reigning monarch"
"Reigning monarch, from one four one three..."
"Fourteen thirteen"
"Fourteen thirteen, to Fourteen twenty two"
Tommy pats her back
"Good job, you're getting really good"
She smiles, and Tommy gets ready to read from the book he's holding
"Bogurodzica dziewica, Bogiem s-"
He stops when he sees a certain letter
"How do you say that?"
Minka looks at the text, nodding
"Try"
"Okay"
He takes a deep breath
"Sławiena Maryja!
U twego syna Gospodzina Matko zwolena, Maryja,
Zyszczy nam, s
Kyrie eleison!"
Minka claps for him
"Perfect!"
"You ain't too bad yourself"
Tommy looks at a clock, before quickly standing up
"Shit, I've got to go, patrol eight miles out, don't wanna miss the opportunity to kick the shit out of some nazis"
He goes to leave, as Minka grabs his arm
"I come with you?"
"No, it's too dangerous"
Minka grows angry with Tommy
"Nazis, killed my family, I am going, I want to kill nazi"
Tommy looks into Minka's eyes, seeing the determination, and the aggression
"Okay, grab a rifle and a pistol off the rack, let's get going"
Minka smiles and grabs a rifle and a pistol, Tommy clips a gun belt around her waist, then clips a holster to her belt
"There, now you'll be able to holster your weapon"
Tommy walks over to a cabinet with his name marked on it, they exit the bunker, into the middle of a desolate field, with grey grass, and a scorched landscape, they walk for miles, after a while, they reach a city, and just as Tommy said, there's a nazi patrol, of about thirty, Tommy and Minka climb up a building, Tommy looks down at the patrol through the scope attached to his custom lever action rifle, Minka quickly aims her rifle, about to spray bullets down at the nazis, Tommy puts his hand on the barrel of her gun
"Wait"
"Why?"
"It's thirty on two, even with high ground, it's a hard disadvantage, we need-"
Tommy turns, spotting a grenade attached to a nazi officer's belt
"Add variables, to the equation"
Tommy squints, steadying his aim
"Ding"
Tommy fires a bullet into the officer's grenade, blowing up him, and eight others
"Open fire"
Minka opens fire, her bullets scattering wildly, while Tommy is far more precise, clicking the lever of his rifle, and firing like a professional, with pin point accuracy, within seconds, every soldier in the street is dead, and Tommy begins to reload his weapon
"Good, but you need to learn to aim, I'll teach you at some time"
Tommy looks over the rooftop, and climbs down into the street, followed by Minka, Tommy walks over to a clothes store, and smashes the window, Minka grabs him
"Why breaking in? People work here"
Tommy looks back at her
"Not anymore, most of the city is abandoned, since the nazis took over, so whatever we find in here is free reign"
Tommy and Minka enter the store through a broken window, looking around the clothes left around, Tommy spots a folded up set of clothes, and throws them to Minka
"Here, try these on"
Minka begins to strip, and Tommy sighs
"In the changing room Minka, Jesus"
Minka pulls up her jumpsuit, and walks over to the changing room
