Small Angst > Smut

"Y/N" His voice cut in to your pleads.
It was cold, calculated. Those brown eyes that once warmed you now made you feel empty.

"I don't need help. Not anyone's, for that matter." He was once again rejecting your help at handling his emotions, his past. It has resurfaced too fast, too soon, and you caught him in a panic attack.

The aftermath made you wish you hadn't.

"You'd be doing me the best help by leaving me alone. I don't need your help, I don't need you."
Ghost said. Bluntly.

That last bit really, really hurt Y/N. And she silenced in a mere second once those words left his mouth

"..."
Y/N's hands fell to her sides, staring down at the sitting figure of Ghost with a look of disappointment and sorrow.

"Alright. I'll stop bothering you."
Y/N turned on her heel, leaving the room. and leaving Ghost alone

A stab hit his heart as he watched her walk out.
A sense of regret overcame and he wanted nothing more than to pull Y/N back into him.

"Y/N" A low, deep voice cut the air. His eyes darted from the girl leaving to the door.

If he caught her, it would all be alright again.

He quickly sprung from the couch and dashed to catch up to her, grabbing her shoulders and spinning her to face him.

she was slightly shocked - but remained calm. Staring at him with her eerily blank face. Something she only used to make someone uneasy

"I'm sorry." Ghost choked the words out.
A rare occurrence for him as he usually remained stoic, unfeeling.

Her blank stare made his voice tremble, something he did *not* like.

"I take it back." He said through clenched teeth, unable to look Josie properly in the eyes. He looked to the ground and muttered. "I'm sorry."

she grabbed his chin, pulling his head up. Forcing him to look her in the eye.

"Say that again?"
although her grip was tight, her gaze blank and made him uneasy, he couldn't help but feel ever so slightly weak under her gaze

The heat of her hand on his cheek was reassuring but also made him nervous. He was so used to being the strong one, and now he was weak under *her.*

"I'm sorry." Ghost met her eyes. Her gaze sent a rush of butterflies throughout his being. It was a feeling he didn't understand and it didn't scare but intrigued him.

"I'm sorry." He repeated once more.

she kept her grip on him, softening it, and her gaze shifting. Yet still staring him down

"...mm"

"I mean it." His voice was stern, but there was a slight twinge of gentleness in it. A gentleness he kept solely for Y/N, no other.

He stared into her eyes, feeling the coldness in them and wishing he could melt it, melt that look and make her happy.

"I'm sorry." The words were heavy.

finally, Y/N's gaze disappeared and shifted into her usual calm, joyful look...

her grip now gentle on his chin
"I forgive you"

The urge to kiss her flooded his mind once more.
He took a heavy breath and stared into her eyes.

There was a comfort in those honey coloured eyes he desperately missed whenever she wasn’t with him.
