"Come in" I say, opening the door wider
He nods and walks in, he takes his shoes off as I close the door behind me.
Today Jayden wanted to talk to me which I'm nervous about because I don't want to tell him everything, and he goes and tells East then my whole identity will be revealed.
After he takes his shoes off, we walk into the dining room and we both sit down facing each other.
"Thank you for agreeing to see me" he says to me
"No problem, are you thirsty?" I ask him
"Nah I'm good" he says and I nod
"So can you tell me how do we know each other?" He asks me getting straight into it
"We don't know each other" I lie to him
"Please don't lie, I just know we knew each other" he pleas
I bite my lip debating if I should or not, I'm still trying to wrap my head around how he's still alive.
When I first found out I wanted to call my sister and tell her, but with me being undercover I knew me telling her would be unsafe.
And how would she feel? Hearing over the phone that I saw her dead husband at this club I don't know what y'all would do but I know she would've been on her way to that club immediately.
"Ari?" I hear snapping me out of my thoughts
"Yes" I say simply
"Yes we knew each other or?..." he says confused
"We did know each other" I tell him
"Really how?" He asks as his eyes light up
"Um." I say looking at everything but him
"We dated, didn't we?" He asks sighing
"Ew fuck no" I say making a stank face
"Then what is it?" He asks
"Fine I'll tell you but promise me you'll never tell anyone" I say and sigh
"Promise" he nods
"You were married to my sister" I say
"What?" He says and stands up fast as hell making the chair fall behind him
"Let me finish" I tell him waving my hand in front of me ushering him to sit back down
He nods and fixes the chair before sitting back to giving me his full attention.
"You and my sister knew each other basically your whole lives but didn't start dating until you both were in the beginning of high school, I don't know if you had any ups and downs I was never really told that but you both were so in love with each other" I tell him
