Type 98B Ke-Ni Light Tank

The Type 98A Ke-Ni was originally developed by Hino motors to replace the aging and lightly armored Ha-Go light tank. The version the JNST uses in the Type 98B, a derivative of the Ke-Ni produced by Mitsubishi. Equipped with a copy of the Christie suspension, the Type 98B is faster in straight lines and on roads, with poorer off-road performance as a trade off for increased speed. The JNST version of the Type 98B is equipped with a 37mm Type 1 gun and
130 horsepower I-6 engine.

Type 4 Chi-To Medium Tank

The Type 4 Chi-To was designed as a response to heavier U.S. Armor in the Pacific theater, with the Ha-Go and Chi-Ha unable to effectively fight American M4 Sherman tanks. The Chi-To features a Type 5 75mm anti-tank gun and substantially thicker front armor plates than contemporary Japanese vehicles such as the Chi-Ha and Chi-Nu. Only two were completed before War's end, having seen no service.

Type 5 Chi-Ri Medium tank

Type 5 Chi-Ri Medium tank

The Chi-Ri was initially constructed as a solution to the problem of limited firepower from Japanese tanks against American armor (similar in concept to the Chi-To), it designed from 1943-1944, only 1 Chi-Ri prototype was ever produced before the Japanese surrender.

In JNST service, the autoloader for the 75mm main gun was removed to comply with Sensha-Dō rules.

Ho-Ri II Tank Destroyer

The Ho-Ri was a tank destroyer inspired by German designs (notably the Jagdtiger) built on the chassis of the Chi-Ri Tank. This monster is equipped with a powerful 105mm gun capable of penetrating 220 millimeters of armor, and a reinforced casemate that is up to 225mm thick. Though slow to move, the Ho-Ri is extremely dangerous at range.

Heavy Tank No.6

The Heavy Tank No.6 was the designation of German-built Tiger I heavy tanks. Considering the poor situation that Japanese armor was in at the time of the late Pacific theater, the Heavy Tank No.6 would've been a large, albeit cumbersome, threat to any allied tank near it. It is equipped with the same 8.8cm KwK36 L/56 gun as the Tiger I and it has the same 100mm frontal armor, with no modifications being added to the design.

The Heavy Tank No.6 is Gero's personal choice.
