A week passes. My sleeping retinue has been hell. Between the pain in my stomach sickness and head pain I haven't had a good nights sleep in a hot minute. My hands brush the sheets. It felt numb. I did not like the feeling. I sit up and reach for my water on my stand. It was cold to the touch. My mind rushed around.

A soft knock let out.

"Come in" I said. Jack's head poked in. His brown hair fell over his forehead.

"God you look like shit" Jack winced walking in and shutting my door.

"Thanks" I deadpan as he hopped onto my bed.

"You cant stay in here forever ya know" Jack eyes me.

I frowned. I could try. I didn't want to leave this room. I could see Jacks brows press closer to one another. I wonder what he was thinking.

"Something is bothering you" Jack said falling onto his back.

"No there isn't" I roll my eyes.

"Ya there is." Jack propped himself onto his elbow to glare at me. "What's wrong."

I look away from him. The cold returned to me.

"Charlie?" Jack asked. I feel the bed move as he fully gets on and sits up. His arm touches my knee.

"Jack, I feel like there's something out there." I tell him. "Since we got to that dinner a while ago. It stopped, but when we played that game, it started back up again" My arms wrap around me. "It feels like something is watching me."

"Charlie," Jack hummed. "Nothing is watching you. Sure as hell no one either."

"Not a person Jack" I turn back to him. "A thing. It-" I rub the bridge of my nose. "It makes me feel sick, the hairs on my arms stand up."

"Charlie." Jack said my name again.

"Jack. I looked into earthquakes-"

"Ivan is trying to scare you." he interrupted me.

"There are no records of one happening."

"That place, no one goes there,-"

"It meant something!"

"CHARLIE!" Jack snapped. "Like you said that night, the game is fake. Nothing is coming after anyone. Nothing. Nobody."

I hush myself. Am I going nuts? Hell. Maybe.

"Jack..." I whisper. "It means something. My gut turns, my head throbs."

"That's because you have a concussion. That wood hit your head." Jack gets up.

"Jack.."

"Nothing is coming for anyone. You are fine, its just Ivan trying to scare you" Jack's eyes soften.

"If you say so..." I trail off.

"See you later." Jack said with a forced smile and left.

God. He must think I'm crazy. I fall to my back. Some pillows fall off the bed as my back hits the bedding. He may be right.

I grabbed my phone and opened up my contacts and clicked one, putting my phone to my ear.

A few rings later, they pick up.

"Dad?" I say through tears.
