The Broken promise

Chapter 1

My feelings are mixed now that I'm in front of the church. What is Theo's reason for sending me here? Is this what he said in surprise to the person he was talking to this morning in the bathroom?!

*FLASHBACK"

I got out of bed lazily. What time is it and how early did Theo wake up?

"Babe," I called her softly. I yawned because I was still very sleepy. I don't know why I just woke up.

I went to the bathroom to wash my face and brush my teeth when I saw Theo inside who seemed restless and pacing.

"Bab~" I was cut off from calling him when he suddenly spoke.

"Make sure to surprise her," he said to his interlocutor on the other line. I smiled. What else, is Theo's surprise for me? Because, every time we go out, it's always a surprise.

"Alright, I'll wait for that! I hope this time she will be happier. Alright, bye. Thank you," he ended the call.

I hurried back to the room at nagpangap na tulog. After a while, the door suddenly opened and I heard his footsteps going to the bed. Akala ko tulog na siya, but I felt his lips on my forehead. "I love you and I will marry you," he said firmly.

Nagpanggap akong tulog even though the truth is I'm wide awake!

Sobrang kinilig ako sa kanyang ginawa.

"Babe, what's wrong?" I said sleepily said. Pak! Ang galing kong magpangap!

He then smiled at me. "Nothing; let's continue sleeping," he said, and then he hugged me tightly.

*END OF FLASHBACK"

As I entered the church, I noticed that there were wedding decorations. Teka tama ba itong pinuntahan ko? Bakit parang may ikakasal. Inilibot ko ang aking paningin.  I was shocked by the color lavender in the designs. and it was all my favorite color. From flowers to curtains and the carpet and there's more, I just can't figure out what the names of the other decorations are.

I gasp when I notice that the man I love so much is waiting in front of the altar with a priest. He's now wearing a lavender tuxedo. I smile widely. He looks even more beautiful in what he is wearing today.

Wait, pause muna! Are we getting married? As in now?! Can't I get dressed first? Bakit sobrang excited mo naman Author! Introduction pa nga lang eh. Gusto mona agad happy ending.

Natawa ako kasi kung ano ani nalang ang tumatakbo sa  aking utak.

As I got closer and closer to him, I felt something. Nevertheless, my favorite song slowly started playing. I smile and cry. Is this what he is saying in surprise sa kausap niya kanina?

I was close to him, but suddenly the door of the church opened and a woman in a gown was spit out. I glanced at Theo. I can see the sadness in his eyes "I-I'm s-so sor.....ry" that's all he said to me.

I was confuse. Is this a part of his plan? Kung oo, pwes ayoko ng prank na ito.

Pero bakit walang camera?

"Is this a prank, Theo?" Kinabahan kong tanong sa kanya. Please say yes, ayoko ng ganito. Tama na! Itigil mona ang prank.

He didn't respond in a word instead, tanging iyak lang ang nakuha ko galing sa kanya.

It was like cold water was poured on me. Feeling mixed at this time. My vision becomes blurry and my tears start to flow. I want to scream, but I can hardly breathe.

I glance at him, and he does the same thing. I ask him through my eyes, Why? But what I saw in his eyes was "sorry," but why? Why did he do this to me?

"No no no" i shook my head.

Lumapit ako sa kanya at niyakap siya ng mahigpit dahilan para mas lalo siyang humagulhol.

"Please tell me na panaginip lang to Babe" i cried.

Kumalas siya sa pagkakayakap at tumingin siya sa'kin.

"Listen to me~" hindi na niya natapos ang sasabihin ng biglang lumakad na ang bride sa aisle.

I looked at the approaching woman. I almost lost my breath when I saw his face.

"Hailey?" I said trembling. I don't know why  I'm still standing when my knees and lips were shaking.

Hailey is Theo's ex-girlfriend. And why did this happen?! The color of her gown is still lavender? This is torture! Did they just send me here to witness their betrayal? And my favorite color is their theme. Even my favorite song was not missed by them.

How dare they use my favorite color as the theme for their wedding! Everything is lavender. I thought I was going to marry him. I sarcastically smile. This is supposed to be my dream wedding. I am the bride and Theo is my groom. But here I am standing in front of them watching their stupid wedding.

Nag uunahan sa pag agos ang aking mga luha. How dare they use my favorite lavender flower as the bouquet! Hailey was still holding a bouquet full of lavender flowers. How dare they set our anniversary as their wedding day! Today is our anniversary with Theo, and I thought this was our happiest anniversary because he said it was a surprise! But this is it! Very painful. How dare they use our theme song for the ceremony! Pinaglaruan lang nila pala ako! It hurts so much.

I looked at the two. Galit na galit ako sa kanya! Mga traydor sila!

Hailey is in front of us, and the b*tch smiles at me.

"Ops, excuse me. We're getting married. You should just be there in the guests seats." He bitchily smiles.

After a while he suddenly signaled one of his security guards.

Gusto ko siyang saktan. Gusto ko siyang sabunutan. Gusto ko silang patayin! Mga traydor sila! Pero hindi ko magawang igalaw ang mga kamay ko.

His staff took me and brought me to the seats and made me sit on the seat. I wanted to run, but he grabbed me tightly and tied my hands. He also put tape over my mouth.

"Yan para hindi ka makaka isturbo sa kasal ni Hailey at Theo." Lumapit sa'kin si Trisha, ang best friend ni Hailey. She sat next to me.

"Ay ang sweet naman ng dalawa. Sa haba haba ba naman ng prosisyon at sa simbahan parin ang tuloy," she teases me, which makes me cry. 

Ayaw ko na dito! Gusto ko ng umalis! Sobrang sakit na eh! Iyak lang ako ng iyak. Gusto kong sumigaw at magwala. Kaso wala akong magagawa, eh nakagapos ako sa harap ng kasal ng taong pinangakoan ako ng kasal.

Humarap siya sa'kin. "Aww, why are you crying, lady? Dapat maging masaya ka! Oh, tingnan mo ang dalawa." Nakayuko lang ako, kaya hinila niya ang aking buhok. Napadaing ako sa sobrang sakit. Iniangat niya ang ulo ko para mapatingin sa direksiyon ng dalawa. 

Nangingitngit ako sa galit ng naghahalikan na ang dalawa.

Ng i-announce ng pari na mag-asawa na sila doon ako parang sasabog.
Napadako ang tingin ni Hailey Sa'kin. Rinig na rinig ko ang mga katagang, "I won and you lost. He's now mine," sa mga ngiti ni Hailey. Itinaas din niya ang kanyang kamay para ipakita ang singsing. I gritted my teeth and looked away. Napangiti ako ng mapakla. Ako yung fiance, pero sa iba nagpakasal.

Actually, hindi ko po inaasahan na may magbabasa sa story kong ito kasi 'di po ako masyado bihasa. Pinublished ko lang po 'to kasi gusto kong ipakita sa sarili ko na kaya ko pala kahit hindi masyadong maganda. To be honest this is one of my biggest achievement.
