It was now the day after and Charles was getting ready to meet max at his house. He wasn't that thrilled to see him but they were civil now. They weren't friends tho.

Charles checked one last time the address and went out side. He walked for about five minutes before he arrived at his building. He entered, climbed the stairs and knocked on the door. He waited a few seconds before he heard a "enter!" from Max.

He entered in the flat that was pretty big and nicely decorated. Charles saw the living room the was the closest room to where he was. There was seemingly expensive furniture and a fulled shelf of trophies. He didn't do nor say anything. But when he walked out of the hall, after taking off his shoes, he saw something surprising from Max. A lion plushie. He smiled imagining him with his little lion layed down.

Max approached Charles and saw him smile. He turned around and saw his lion. He quickly took it to his room that was apparently on the other end of the flat.

Behind the living room, next to Charles, there was the kitchen and the bathroom close to that. Charles also saw another door slightly opened by Sassy the cat to a guest room. Another door beside it was showing the stream room with the simulator.

Charles waited a little for Max to finish getting ready. He took out his phone and played a little game. He heard a sound and saw Max ready to go. They went in the hall to put their shoes and went outside. They walked out in silence and it was a bit uncomfortable. Max was the  first to talk

"- So where are we going exactly?

- The super market and then the alcohol shop.

- Are we buying some decorations?

- Yeah we could."

The two drivers went to the super market and bought crisps, sweets, some starters and they decided to buy pizzas the night of the party. After that the rivals went to the alcohol store to buy some drinks. They bought vodka, gin, some wine and beers. They assured themselves o have enough for Kimi and Val.
Charles and Max went to a decoration store.

"- What should we buy? asked Charles.

- I don't know. Balloons maybe.

- Oh yeah and a bit of garland.

- Good idea you could come back to my flat before everyone to install the decorations and prepare the food with me, proposed Max. And we could eat lunch there together so we'd have enough time.

- Yeah I'll come by for 10 am. Good?

- Good."

They finished to buy everything and said goodbye and they went back home.
