Forgive me: An Aonung story

The flight home

"I suppose we better start packing then" Aonung says as he takes me out of his embrace, I look up to him as I give him a big smile "I can't wait for you to see my home!" I say. "I'm excited too my love" he says back as he places a gentle kiss on my forehead.

Aonung slowly walks me back to my family pod, I liked it when we just walked in silence it was comforting. Everything here is just so peaceful, I think I really will miss it but I know I'll come back. I'd come back for Aonung I know he's going to have responsibilities here when he is older I couldn't as him to leave.

He soon cut me out of my thoughts, "what are you thinking about" he asks quietly. I make a small smile to myself as I respond "that I'd go wherever you are, this is my new home" I say as I continue to walk down the beach. "You'd really live here?" He says with a big grin, "of course I would, I know you have responsibilities here. I couldn't ask you to leave forever, nor could I not be with you" I say gently as he places a gentle kiss on my hand. He didn't need to say anything the kiss was enough to describe how he felt at my words.

It didn't take us long to reach my pod as I take him in for a big hug, "I'll see you in the morning Aon" he lets go of me as he places a kiss on my forehead. "See you in the morning my love" I give him a smile and a small wave as I watch him leave, I couldn't help but keep smiling.

"Awhh how sweet" I hear Kiri say behind me, "yeah it's love!" Tuk says as she joins in. "I think it's gross" Neteyam and Lo'ak say in unison, I couldn't help but chuckle. "Well thank you for the comments guys I love you too" I say as I push Neteyam and Lo'aks heads, "skxawng" Lo'ak says as he lets out a small hiss. "You should be happy I'm happy!" I whine as I tackle him to the ground with a hug, "you're my twinnie!" I shout.

Lo'ak couldn't help but laugh "of course I'm happy for you it's just gross to see my twin do that" he says with a disgust face. "Poor Lo'akie" I say as I pat his head, "ah get offf" he says shoving me to the side. I let out a small laugh before I got up and headed towards my bed so I could pack my things.

"Are you excited to go home?" Kiri asks as she comes by my side, I quietly hum a yes in response. "I'm sure everything will be okay Náláni, I wouldn't worry about it too much. Besides you've got all of us to stick up for you" she says as she hugs my arm. "Thank you Kiri" I say as I rest my head on her shoulder, "you must be excited to go home" I say as I start to pack some of my stuff away. "Mm very, gonna go see my mum as soon as I can" she says with a big smile. "I'm sure she'd love that Kiri" I respond.

Once we had all finished packing our dad pulled us all in for a family meeting, "look just because we're going home doesn't mean you can act however you want, I'm not in charge anymore okay. So no trouble. Got it?" He says sternly looking at all of us. "Yes sir" we all respond in unison as he nods his head at our words.

He was right, everything would be different now..we lost our status, Ikálu is now in charge which makes this whole situation so much worse. I couldn't help but keep worrying about it even though everyone said they're have my back.

"Come on I think you should get some sleep" my mother says as she comes to my side, guiding me to my hammock. "Do not stress about what has not yet happens my love" she says wisely as she places a kiss onto my head. "Good night Náláni"

"Good night mum" I say quietly back as I get myself into my hammock. She was right I needed to sleep we had a very long flight ahead of us tomorrow I needed as much energy as possible.

I get woken up by Tuk gently shaking me, "come on Láni it's time to leave!" She shouts with excitement. "I'm coming Tuk Tuk" I say with a smile as I slowly get out of my hammock. I watch her run outside of the pod she was fully of energy it was nice to see her so excited.

No body else was in our home pod, they must be on the beach waiting for me. I start to gather up all my things until stuff gets taken out of my hands, "let me carry it" Aon said behind me as he places a gentle kiss on the side of my head. "Thank you" I say with a smile, i knew it wasn't worth the fight of me saying no..he'd win.

I follow behind Aon as we make our way to the beach to join my family, "are you ready?" My dad says with a small smile as I nod my head in response. I start to call out for Tála, it has been a while since I had seen her.

The fellow Na'vi all step back to make space for our ikran to land, "Hi Tála" I say as I gently pat her neck. "Remember Aonung, he's going to be flying with us today" I say as I gesture over to him. "It's okay you can touch her" I say with a slight laugh, "oh right..Hi Tála" Aonung says quietly with a smile as he gives her a pat on the neck.

Aon starts to mount Tála, holding his hand out for me to join him. I was about to hold his hand as I gasped, "what?" Aonung asks me worriedly, "what?" He says repeating himself again with urgency. "I haven't said goodbye to Korra!" I shout as I quickly run into the sea, I could hear Aonung letting out a small chuckle as he makes his way behind me. "I thought you forgot something bad" he says wrapping his arms around my waist. "This is bad! I forgot to say bye" I say with a pout, "okay My love" he says placing a kiss onto my shoulder.

I call out for Korra and it didn't take long for her to appear by my side, she rolled around the water in happiness, "hi Korra, I'm gonna be heading away for a while" I say to her quietly as she nuzzles her head into me. "I promise to be back though, I'm going to miss you" I gave her a big hug as I slowly waved her goodbye, watching her dive back into the ocean.

"You okay?" Aonung gently asks, "yeah..I just didn't realise how much I'm going to miss this place" I say with a small smile.

Aonung climbs back onto Tála as he holds his hand out to me again, I happily take his hand as I climb onto my ikrans back. Aon wraps his arms tightly around my waist as I lean back into him, "at least this will be a comfier flight then last time" I say with a small chuckle, "mmhm for you" he says as he rest his chin on my head.

We wave everyone goodbye as we start to take our flight home, 5 days of flying..I didn't miss this part at all.

I look around as I saw the view when I first arrived here, just as beautiful as before. Everything was just so blue and bright, I would miss seeing this place I really did find it beautiful.
