Shockwave had hidden himself away in this lab long before Megatron came looking for him, not that it made the scientist feel any better about being stuck on this ship with that tyrant and any of the other staff and soldiers still present.
His hope for escape though dwindled with each passing Earth minute. He, logically, knew that he would be fine and would be able to run sufficiently for a few orbital cycles. But emotions were never his forte and forever an enigma to him, thus his own feelings about this confused him. Everything going about on the ship felt bleak, if bleak was even a feeling to be identified, but not matter.
The banging was wanted and returned with the same incoherent ramblings as before. Shockwave couldn't help but wonder how well Knockout and Starscream were fairing. Hopefully much better than him.

Starscream loudly complained, as well as Arcee. The prior bot being restrained, and the latter being vocal about her opinion on the Prime's decision.
Soundwave stood next to Ratchet, both unimpressed by their colleges' actions.
"He killed Cliffjumper! This is nowhere near safe having three of them in here!" Acree spoke out accusatorily.
Starscream instead lived up to his name, complaining about the restraints and reasoning that it was humiliating.
The Prime was moved by neither of the bots, instead intently listening to Knockout's inside knowledge on the Nemesis and the bot's belief on what may still be going on.
Ratchet decided to try and get the two vocal bots to shut up, mostly for his and Soundwave audials. Soundwave simply watched his actions play out. The sudden change from simply wandering the base as a guest and friend to now being a part of the small group of mixed factions intending to try and end the crumbling war jarred their thought process.
The next few cycles passed in what felt like a blur to Soundwave. Talks of infiltrating the Nemesis and potentially jailing Megatron flowing through their processor as a stream, archived, but yet to be processed properly.
Soon enough the group was readying the plan of action. Not that Soundwave was ready for any of it, not to be anywhere near that ship, and definitely not near that ghost of a bot.
They weren't ready for this. They couldn't do this, not now, and likely never. Their fr--Megatron was liable to beat anyone in his path out of it, and anyone in that path was likely to be themselves, or their current friends and colleagues.
Throughout this time Lazerbeak tried to assure them, Optimus attempted to do so, and even Ratchet tried to comfort them.
Nothing helped calm their silent nerves, their abrupt silence putting everyone in the base off—the humans who learned of how talkative Soundwave could be found it concerning. The young Autobots who saw them break down on multiple occasions before this, glanced between each other worry laid deep within for their fellow Cybertorian. Optimus and Ratchet, who knew them and their behavior for so many vorns, watched them making sure they were physically okay at any given moment. The two Decepticons, who had only recently learned of Soundwave's true presentation of themselves, grew more and more perturbed from the behavior in every passing moment.
Beyond their terror, they wanted this to end-- to have some sort of peace beyond themselves. No more war, no more abuse, no need to hide themselves under Autobot protection. They wanted to be able to leave freely without worry. They wanted this all to end, if not for themselves, then for everyone else. For Lazerbeak. For those who would never get to see the end of the war, not anymore.
