"Everything's going according to plan boss!" Karter said in a cheerful tone, She then went back to taking notes of the rainbow substance. "Good. And make sure they get every living being, leaving no survivors. There can't be any witnesses when "experiment 009" gets captured." The lead scientist told Karter in a cold, stern voice. The escapee was the reason why the scientist trapped those kids in the first place. The scientist then remembered the other project they were working on before all this.
"Karter, how's the cyan substance doing? Is it ready?"
Karter looked up from her clipboard and turned to her boss. "It's ready. However, we do have one problem..." Karter's voice trailed off.
"And that is?" The scientist asked.
"We...don't exactly have a proper subject for the project...and those kids won't make the cut...and-" Karter was then interrupted by the scientist.
"Well then. Given our situation. I see no other option then...." The scientist looked at Karter with a sinister look.
"Then what boss?" Karter asked hesitantly.
It was that moment the scientist had pulled a syringe out of his coat pocket and fully turned to Karter.
Karter was able to feel a drop of sweat fall from her forehead as she backed up away from her boss, thinking that surely he wasn't going to do what she thought he may be doing.
as he approached her quickly. Grabbing her by the throat and lifting her up off the ground.
"Congratulations. You've been promoted once more..." he stated.
In a swift movement he stabbed her in the neck with the syringe and injected the cyan liquid into her bloodstream....
