XV. | Miss Mystic Falls

"I'm just filling Elena in on your extracurricular activities" Damon said

"Oh his blood drinking issue?" Lorelei asked. Damon nodded

"What are you talking about?" Stefan asked trying to lie

"I know about it all, Stefan" Elena said. A fight between the two was sure to ensue

"I'll be.. um downstairs waiting to escort Lori" Damon said escaping the situation. Lorelei walked out as well. It was best to let the two handle it on their own

Now, here it was time to be escorted. Elena was freaking out because she didn't see Stefan at the bottom of the stairs. Lorelei was waiting to be called

"Miss Tina Fell.. escorted by Bartholomew Whitmore" The mayor announced. Carol walked over

"Has anyone seen Amber?" Carol asked

"Who's that?" Lorelei asked. Carol rolled her eyes and walked off

"Do either of you see Stefan down there?" Elena asked. Caroline walked over to help look. Lorelei didn't see Stefan

"Nope, just my boring fill-in escort" Caroline said annoyed

"What happened to Matt?" Elena asked

"They wouldn't let him out of work. What happened to Stefan?" Caroline asked

"I don't know. He just disappeared somewhere. What am I doing? I never should've gone through with this" Elena said

"Your daddy did not raise a quitter" Lorelei said

"I need to find Stefan. This isn't me. I'm not this person anymore" Elena said

"No, no, no. No way. No. You had your chance to drop out. And believe me, I was all for it. Because I can't beat you. Elena, you're doing this because it was important to your mom" Caroline said

"Miss Caroline Forbes and her escort Jeffrey Lockwood Hamilton" The mayor announced. Caroline walked down the stairs leaving the two Gilbert's

"Lorelei, you're next" Carol said with a fake smile

"Miss Lorelei Gilbert.. escorted by Mr. Damon Salvatore" The mayor announced. Lorelei walked down the stairs to see Damon at the bottom. They interlaced their arms as they walked off to the other contestants. Lorelei and Damon could both hear that when Elena was called, Stefan was not there. She had no escort

"Stefan isn't there" Lorelei said

"I'm not being her escort" Damon said

"No shit. I am" Lorelei said before she walked off and went back to the stairs. Elena stared down confused

"Stefan can't make it. I'm the escort" Lorelei said

"Sorry, but the escort has to be a ma-" The mayor was cut off

"I don't give a fuck. I know you cheating on your wife hoe. Don't test me" Lorelei whispered

"Ahem.. um.. Elena Gilbert escorted by Lorelei Gilbert" The mayor said as he cleared his throat. Elena walked down and the two Gilbert's interlaced their arms

"What are you doing?" Elena asked

"Saving you from embarrassment" Lorelei replied. The two walked outside of the mansion. Everyone staring at them

"Take a picture, it'll last longer" Lorelei said with a wink. They lined up with everyone else. They began the dance just as everyone else

"How are we gonna do this? Do you know the-" Elena was cut off

"Relax, I know this shitty dance by heart" Lorelei replied. They both put up their right hands and circled one another. Then their left hands and did the same thing. Then they put up both hands and circled each other again

"You know we're both getting disqualified right?" Elena asked

"I know, I see that evil grin on Carol's face" Lorelei told her niece. Elena looked over to see Carol with a satisfied look on her face

"She really doesn't like you" Elena said

"Well, duh.. it's because I'm better than her" Lorelei said. The two then began to slow dance. Lorelei's hand went to Elena's waist as Elena's hand was on Lorelei's shoulder. Their two free hands were holding the other

"This is so goofy. I can't lie" Lorelei said causing Elena to laugh. They kept dancing as did everyone else

"Thanks for doing this" Elena said with a smile

"It's no problem. I just want you to know. I do look prettier than you. No offense" Lorelei said with a smile. Elena laughed

"You do" She said. The dance ended and Carol told both of them that they had been disqualified. Which prompted Lorelei to flip off Carol
