As the doctor approached Gabby he had a grave look on his face. "Mr. Casey took on some very severer beatings but is expected to make a full recovery." Doctor Will Halstead began. "He was dehydrated, has a minor concussion, a dislocated shoulder, about 6 broken ribs, and a brake in the lower part of his left tibia. He had lost a lot of blood so we started blood transfusions. We stitched up his stab wound and we should be able to take them out in a few weeks." "Um, he had an epidural hematoma a while back, would that effect anything?" Gabby asked. "One moment." Dr. Halstead said with a concerned look. He went over to the main desk and asked the record keeper, "Why was I not informed about Matthew Casey earlier head injury? Get him up to a CT scan now, make sure everything is okay." He quietly said to the lady at the desk so Gabby wouldn't get more worried. "Can i see him?" Gabby asked as Dr. Halstead's answer was no because they still had to run some test was all he had said not wanting to worry any of them about the possible brain damage from the concussion and earlier head injury.
About and 3 hours had passed when the doctor came back to update Gabby and everyone from 51. "We did a CT scan and found a small bleed in Matts brain but did an emergency surgery and patched him all up. There could be symptoms such as memory loss, dizziness, or change in behavior, but the surgery went well so no symptoms are going to be expected." Dr. Will Halstead updated them all with the new information "Can I see him now, please?" Gabby begged Halstead replied, "He may still be sleeping but yes you may, room 103 on the second floor." " thanks!" Gabby said as she made her way to Matts room as fast as she could with tears in her eyes.
