obi wan and Anakin get to the senators floor and the elevator opens to show a wide room with a couch in the middle of it, a balcony and big windows, they enter and are greeted by jar jar binks and make their way to the senator who greets them.
"master Kenobi and.." she turns to Anakin "ani?!? you have grown up" padme smiles at him
"it is I, you look as wonderful as ever" Anakin smiles back
"you'll still always be the little boy from tatoonie in my heart"
they all make their way to the couch and discuss the plan of action on how they are going to protect the senator, after a while Anakin and padme are left alone
"so ani, how's the Jedi order been treating you?" she asks him
"it has its positives and negatives, especially the whole thing about not being able to love" he sighs
"well that's a flaw, im guessing someone has your heart and you can't act upon it" Anakin nods at this sentence " why don't you tell me about them?, I am your friend after all" she gives him a reassuring smile
"well she's also a Jedi, she's perfect from her personality to looks, its just stupid the Jedi think being in love will ruin our lives" padme puts her hand on his knee and pressures him
"the Jedi make those rules to prevent corruption or negative actions, I think they have peoples best interest at heart but I understand it can be frustrating"
Anakin can see padme is trying to be optimistic and help him but all he can focus on is that the Jedi is already corrupting and has faults so having an attachment would be the least of their problems, he smiles softly and thanks his friend for her guidance before she leaves the room leaving him to focus on his thoughts in silence.
