I woke up feeling a slight back pain. Nandito na ako ulit sa kwarto ko. Ke is holding my left hand while Yve was just leaning on the door frame

"Buti naman gising ka na"

Pinagmasdan ko lang si Ke na nagsimula nang umiyak. What a softie

I looked at Yve and she just shrugged. I'm just glad that both of them were safe

"Uy, gising ka na pala"

My brows furrowed and I glared at the man na rason kung bakit sumasakit ang likod ko ngayon

"Bakit nandito yan?" I asked Yve

"Wala man lang thankyou—" I cut him off dahil sumasabat nanaman siya

"Shut your mouth, hindi ko hinihingi ang opinion mo"

This time siya naman ang umirap sa akin at umupo na lang sa may gilid

"Yveanisse Louise"

"What? He's the one who saved you though di ko alam kung paano. You should be grateful"

That guy, may patango tango pa siya nang nakapikit at binigyan ng thumbs up ang kapatid ko

"Pinapasok mo yan dito kahit di mo alam pangalan?"

"Uhm—"

"My name is Gunner. Single, but not available. Pero for you, I can always make an exemption"

Upon hearing those words, umalis na agad ng kwarto ko si Yve at sumunod si Ke

Iniwan nila akong mag-isa kasama tong bastos na to?

"So paano ba yan—" I cut him off again to ask him clarifications

"What the fuck happened? How did you blocked those bullets using only a sword?"

If my memory serves me right, he dodged those bullets using that sword

Tinignan ko siya para hanapin kung nasaan ang espadang yun pero mukhang hindi na siya pinayagan na ipasok iyon sa bahay

"Good to know na naaalala mo pa yung mga nangyari. What happened earlier was a failed attempt of murder"

My eyes widened after hearing those words. What the hell? Why would someone want to assassinate me?

"Murder? Me? Bakit ako?"

Gunner smirked before crossing his legs and looking directly at my wrist kaya napatingin din ako dito

I have a crescent mark on my wrist. It was a birth mark that totally amazed me, and everyone around me because it was very unusual

My mom told me that there's a reason behind this mark but she failed to explain it to me

Sabi niya maiintindihan ko rin kapag tumanda na ako. That there will come a time that someone will make me understand this

"It has something to do with that mark and your ability"

I stopped staring at my wrist and looked at Gunner, confused on what he just said

"Ability? Are we in some sort of Fantasy book? Ano yan magic? Powers? Creatures?"

Tumango siya bilang sagot sa mga katanungan ko na nagpatawa sa akin

"You think I believe you? Ano ka kinder?" I continued laughing my heart out. Nakakatawa nga naman talaga, naniniwala pala siya doon

Tumigil lang ako sa kakatawa nang mapansin ko ang seryoso niyang mukha

"You're not serious, aren't you?" I asked again but nothing changed in his reaction

"If you don't believe me, then let me show you"

He motioned his hand as if he was pulling something then his sword appeared out of nowhere

He slightly moved his sword and I saw the apple beside me got sliced kahit na hindi naman ito dumaan sa hawak niyang espada

After showing me that trick, he walked slowly near me until he reached my side

He slowly leaned into me, his face getting near mine

I noticed his eyes turned gold

"Now, naniniwala ka na ba?"

It was like his eyes are hypnotizing me. I nodded while still getting drowned in his gaze

Natauhan lang ako nang guluhin niya ang buhok ko kaya tinapik ko ang kamay niya at agad siyang inirapan

"Alam mo, hindi ka takure pero ang init ng ulo mo"

Tinawanan lang ako nito at umupo sa stool na nasa tabi ko

"I guess your parents didn't had the chance to explain the other realm to you"

Isinandal ko muli ang likod ko sa headboard ng kama dahil nagsimula nanaman itong manakit

So, those creatures that I read in fantasy books are real. Cringe lang, to think that a wolf and vampire exists

What made me more curious is this guy's role. What is he?

"Why don't you ask me directly? Don't keep your questions on your mind without speaking"

So he can read my mind

"Yes, I can"

I sighed in defeat. Wala na akong magagawa kundi tanggapin na lang kung ano man tong nangyayari

"Gunner, what are you?"

"I am your guardian. My role is to guard you and prioritize your safety, your highness"
