Id say I've always been the perfect child, and I'd like to believe it. Never once did rebellion cross my mind. What nani said went, for me at least. "Cordneila !" The words lingers throughout the house, echoing in every room. She caught me in the act of making sure I looked presentable. I'm standing in front of my full length mirror, little daisy's attached to the sides of it. The shout of my name, would be Nani, known as the Willow grandmother. Willow being our family's name. Arthur Willow, my father, Daisy Willow being my mother, Lilianna Willow my eldest sister, and Sulet Willow, my grandmother, Nani. I take one last glance in my mirror "Coming Nani" I say as I step from my room. I walk the empty hall from my room leading to the common room, I trace the photographs hung on the wall as I take each step. My mother and father being the stars of the photographs, and at the end of the long hall, two small urns.

I take one glance at my Mother and Father, take a breath and continue my walk to the common room. My parents passed away about two years ago, but that's a different story for a different day.
Finally making my way to the common room door way, where I'm greeted by one of our maids, "Lady Willow has been waiting for your arrival miss" she says calmly, but also in the sense that she's warning me of my grandmothers tone towards my tardiness. "Yes thank you I'm aware" I say with a smile. She opens the door soft and quietly. As it opens I see my grandmother, and her guests. "Cory!!" I hear loudly from beside me, im greeted by my older sister with a very tight hug, she picks me up during and spins me. I let out a giggle and hug her back just as tightly. "Lily! Nani hadn't told me you'd be back from the islands so soon!" I laugh out while she's finally finished spinning me. "Would you please use some manners lilianna." Nani spits out slamming her cane on the floor. "I am a grown woman sulet, let me be." My sister says letting her grip on me go. Lily is the only family member to call my grandmother by her name, the two of them have never gotten along much. As my grandmother starts to go on about my sisters manners, I notice a man standing now beside my sister. "And who might this be?" I pronounce that be with extra sass, towards my sister. "Well I would like to get to that point, and it seems I never shall seeing as though your grandmother should like to sit here all day and complain about a silly hug." My sister spat crossing her arms. "You and I know very well this is not all about your ignorant hug. Dare you come into my home and continue too-" my grandmother spoke but she was soon cut short of her sentence. "Your!?" Lily shouted uncrossing her arms and taking a step forward. "Okay there's no need for shouting why don't we all just-" I say in almost a whisper trying to calm the two of them down.
"How dare YOU claim this home to be yours!?"
"Yes you cursed child! My home!"
"You have crossed a terrible line you hag!" she stepped forward again "This, THIS HOME is my mothers home. You think me stupid, and while your precious cordniela may be clueless, I AM NOT. My mother my not be able to step one single step on this earths ground but everything in this house-" she continues to step towards nani "Including me and cordniela belong to her. Nothing here is yours."
My sister now standing face to face with my grandmother. Everyone was silent, even the house its self didn't dare make so much as a creek. My grandmother chose to ignore the comments of which my sister had just made, stepping away and in front of my sister and changed the subject to me. "Moving onto more important matters, cordniela that gown is absolutely gorgeous." she says with a whole new attitude. The gown being one of my person favorites as well, a white silk based gown, with a corset like top embroidered with brown detailing and pink flowers sown onto my chest area and down the middle and sides of the bottom, mesh long sleeves full of flowers. Truly my most lovely gown.

I take a look down at my gown admiring it for myself for a slight moment, "Thank you Nani, one of my favorites." I say with a grin. My grandmother smiles at my response, turning to my sister to look her from the head to toe. Saying nothing but letting out a sigh. My sister, never really enjoyed gowns but when home she still respected this wish of our grandmothers, something about my mother loving gowns I've heard. My sister, a red and black gown, straps along her upper temple and also off the shoulder straps. A larger slit and lots of revealing areas.

She never enjoyed traditional gowns, nor colors. "I do not need your approval." My sister whispered also eyeing my grandmothers look. "Anyways sister," my sister began to speak, grabbing the arm of the gentleman next to her. "This is River, my fiancé." She said with a very excited tone. I stood for a moment. Fiancé? FIANCÉ? She was gone for merely a month and brought home a fiancé? Well how did she meet him, was he kind? Had he already been with other women? Children? If so how many? Was he wealthy? Was he safe? My mind was racing and I was not only confused but concerned. In all of my questioning in my mind I almost forgot I was still here, in front of my sister . With a blank expression. "Cory?" Lily questioned. My mind still asking so many questions I hesitated to speak. "Uhm-" was all I could get out. As long as I've lived it was me and Lily. Lily and Cory. Lilianna and Cordniela. "Fiancé?" I questioned, in all honesty myself. However she took this as my response. "Yes !!" She yelped as she spun around the room. And he, just watching and smiling. "You've brought home a fiancé?" I questioned again, this time with a more frightened expression. "Well, yes I did, is something wrong ?" She stopped spinning and stood still and very serious now. "Well, I just- I wish you would've" I stopped speaking before I said something offending. "Of course not sister, nothing is wrong. He looks like a true gentleman." I smiled as the word's slipped my tongue. "Oh I'm so thrilled sister !" She shouted again while once again wrapping her arms around me and spinning me round. It wasn't until she let me down I realized my grandmother had left the room, and it wasn't until I realized she left the room, that my sisters fiancé had too.
