Many people were a fan of robotics.
Nearly everyone had a phone or two in their house, a computer to type on, a television to watch.
Robotics and their benefits were known worldwide. Plus, with the the constant updates and evolution, everyone thought this was a good thing. The world was able to rest easy knowing that robots would be their caretakers.
What fools they were.
What idiots they were to believe that no one would use the power of robotics for evil. That no one would try to access the A.I in people's homes to harm them.
Once the A.Is in people's homes were hacked into, the world was in a terrible dilemma. With how common machines were in everyone's lives, it was no wonder that many people perished in the takeover.
The world was thrust into chaos. Robots and their builders were a threat. Many didn't escape...
However, some did manage to make it out. They found homes in the sky, finding ways to traverse from cloud to cloud. They utilized flight technology known as flight harnesses to make their place in the clouds last as long as possible, for they knew the world below was uninhabitable. This lucky few is known as the Cloudwalkers.
For those who weren't rich enough to pay for a life in the sky, they roam through the ashes of a destroyed planet. They traverse the remnants of society, fighting to survive on scarce resources and a burning hope for the future. These are known as the landwalkers.
Many people pray for a better future, whether they walk among the clouds or trudge through the land. Will the Builders who used robotics for evil ever have their downfall? Will the world ever be healed from the destruction it was put through? Will it ever be over?
Thousands of people hope this is the case. But for many others, their hope is dimming. What's the point of hoping in this land? In a land where your life is based on clouds or scrap, the suffering will never be done until something is done about the Builders.
It ain't over till it's over.
