In shadows cast by lies and deceit,
Trust once strong, now lies at your feet.
A fragile bond, shattered and cracked,
Promises broken, trust's fortress attacked.
Words were whispered, so sweet and true,
But they were nothing but empty, untrue.
The wounds of betrayal, deep and sore,
In the ruins of trust, we search for more.
But from these pieces, we can rebuild,
With honesty, patience, and love to instill.
Though trust may break, it can mend anew,
A stronger foundation, tried and true.
So let us learn from this painful gust,
The value and fragility of the trust.
In time, we may heal, rise above,
And restore the faith in the power of love.
