Difficult Silent Cry

In the shadows of my soul, a silent cry,

It lingers there, concealed from every eye,

A whisper of despair, too deep to see,

Becoming harder now to set it free.

Behind a mask, I hide the pain inside,

But in the quiet of the night, it can't subside,

Each tear unshed, each stifled, muffled sound,

Grows heavier with time, like a weight unbound.

The world spins on, oblivious to my plight,

As I paint on a smile, so polished and bright,

But the silent cry within, it won't retreat,

It's etched upon my heart, a constant beat.

I long to share this burden, let it go,

To break the chains that bind me, let it flow,

For in vulnerability, strength resides,

And in the tears we shed, our pain subsides.

So, let us not forget the silent cries,

Hidden in the depths of longing, where it lies,

Extend a hand, a listening ear, a smile,

And make it easier for hearts to reconcile.

For in the act of kindness, love, and grace,

We can erase the lines of pain we face,

No longer difficult to set it free,

The silent cry transformed to unity.
