Today it's Christmas eve. The kids were so excited for tonight. We spent the day preparing dinner.
Romain was helping Yuki and Pierre to make the christmas log and the rest of the kids were making Christmas cookies with Nicholas and Antonio. Lewis, Valtteri and Jenson were decorating the table and they were helped by Logan, Alex, Georges and Oscar.

Of course Kimi, Marcus, Daniil, Checo and Kevin went to the store to buy some alcohol. Mark and Fernando were outside to make a surprise for the kids.

Nico H, Mick, Lance and Nikita were making the toast with foie gras and salmon. Meanwhile Carlos and Stoffel were making some veggies options .

Théo and Victor helped Esteban to prepare cheeses and lettuce.
Lando and Daniel were choosing the music and from time to time tasted what we prepared to "be sure it was good". We were all laughing at these two .

Finally with Nico R, Charles and Max we prepared the turkey and potatoes. The turkey was already stuffed and in the oven. Charles and Max were cutting the potatoes and carrots and with Nico we were making the gravy.

_ You should talk to Lew. I told him taking advantage that no one could hear us.
_ I tried but every time he didn't want to listen. And I don't know why he acts like this...
_ He is jealous.
_ What ?! But from who ?!
_ Of Nico.
_ Why ?
_ You have been really close since the beginning of the holidays...
_ But it's only my friends! And I love only Lewis!
_ I know that, and I think Lewis too in the bottom of his heart. But you have to convince him.
_ I will talk to him after we finish that...
_ No, I will finish! Go talk to him now !

He quickly left the kitchen and went to talk to Lewis. I smiled when I saw them leave the house to go to the garden.

The dinner was ready (well nearly we just had to finish cooking the meat and vegetables.) when Fernando and Mark come back.

We told all the kids to put on hot clothes and go in the cars. They asked why but we only told them it was a surprise and they were already happy and rushed in the car.

When we arrived at the place of surprise, they were all excited. And even more when they understood we will do a sleigh ride. They can go to caress the reindeers and feed them. After that we all went in the sleds and we went for a ride.

We were all silent and when I looked at the kids I saw them with stars in their eyes and smiling next to their friends. It was magical, the night, the ride and the kids calm and happy.

After the ride we helped to take care of the reindeer and we went back to the house.

We finished cooking the meat, and we started the dinner.
The kids were again under the spell of the ride and couldn't stop talking about how they liked it.
It was definitely the best Christmas Eve we spent.

We enjoyed the meal and the champagne was so good.
Now we were watching some Christmas movies.
The kids choose Home Alone, I love this one it's a funny movie.
We eat the Christmas cookies, the kids cooked this afternoon, and drink hot chocolate.

After Home Alone they put The nightmare before Christmas but some time after they fell asleep one by one. Now only the adults were awake. We put all the presents under the Christmas tree.

Suddenly Antonio and Nicholas, who were talking in the kitchen, came back to us and told us to look outside. It was snowing! We admired the snow from inside and after a while came back to the sofas and fell asleep behind the movie.

Happy Christmas Eve for those who celebrate it.

I have to admit I cried when I wrote it because I never spent a Christmas Eve like this.
Now Christmas is more a normal day than a party day for me ...
