Chapter Eight: "Quarrel Of The Gods: Kira vs Kai"

*Evolution is always changing, turning one thing into something better, upgrading it to better fit the natural conditions*

The night of the Black Wolf murder....

Saint City, one of the locations with most of Human population, with tall buildings you'd swear touched the sky, people swirling back and forth, shoulder brushing each other, traffic was as normal as can be, Saint City was ever expanding to better accomodate the people living in it, oblivious and unaware of the powerful beings that walk among them, passing them every day, if they knew the power that dwells within the Human soul, these exceptional Evolved Humans would be dubbed Gods by some, while others condemn them and dub them false and agents of the Devil.

The sky was dark signalling night, people walked back and forth on the sidewalk coming and going to different places, a sound coming from above like the sky cracked open was heard by everyone, many of pref it thinking it was the rumbling of thunder signalling the coming of a storm, one looks up and sees something shooting across the sky, squinting his eyes he shook his head and continued on his way, Kai and Kira were flying above Saint City, fighting and strangling each other, Kai's powers had rendered him with enhanced durability and strength of a hundred grown men, meaning he can take heavy damage and still keep going but it does not make him invulnerable, his healing factor has increased as well, healing from stab wounds, gun shot wounds and broken bones but never amputation of limbs and what not, Evolved Humans were ever evolving, their powers becoming better and we'll adapting. Trading blows back and forth with Kira using her Telekinesis to deliver the hardest blow, Kai grabs Kira by her neck and holds her up, he then punched her in the chest while releasing his grip on her neck, sending her flying down crashing into a statue then hits the ground hard but Kira had a protective force field around her body as long as she was focused which took great discipline and years of practice to achieve, Kira gets to her feet and looks up at Kai who was in the sky and slowly descending

"Who are you?"

Kira asks

"What do you want?"

She adds as Kai remained silent, looking at her for a while and slowly touched down, his fingers kept rubbing against each other making crack sounds from him clenching and releasing, Kira placed her hand on the hilt of her Kitana, draw it out and points it towards Kai, Kai tells her he thought he was the only one with powers, and asks her how she came to have them to which Kira tells him she had them since she was five, same as him, Kai nods then asks her about being a Yakuza which Kira responds

"Fuck off"

She uses her Telekinesis to push Kai hard against the wall then pulls him towards her Kitana but Kai used his strength to clap his hands hard sending a shock wave towards Kira which sends her flying a few feet, Kai stands up as did Kira and the two looked at each other, Kai levitates off the ground and dashed towards Kira in a straight line attack, shoulder tackling her hard sending her off the roof and into another building across from the one they stood on, Kai flies towards her and the glass shards levitate and came shooting at Kai, stabbing him as he screams in pain and crashed into the building, Kira came flying out of nowhere with a flying knee, hitting Kai in the chest, her Kitana as sharp as ever cut into Kai's skin, Kai leaps backward floating away from Kira but she uses her power to float after him, not giving a chance to react, she uses her power to pull him in and she stabs his shoulder and they hit the wall, Kai screams and head buts Kira, although she wasn't hurt by it she was sent back, she pulls her Kitana with her power back to her hand and stood in a stance as Kai falls to his knees, Kira placed her Kitana on Kai's neck and makes him look at her as she tells him

"(Japanese) A valiant effort, but you are no match for me"

Kira says and was about to swing her sword for the final killing blow when Kai punches the floor beneath them, making it crack and crumble as they both fall down into the rubble, luckily the building was empty, not yet occupied by residents so he had not worried about possible casualties, while the dust still has not settled Kira stood up unharmed thanks to her force field, she scans the room and sees Kai had gone, she looks up and sees him taking off, leaving a sonic boom behind, Kira sighs and puts away her Kitana and returned back to nightfall club and sees cops there, a body being taken away, she goes inside the club and meets the owner, asking him who called the cops, the manager tells her there was a killing in the ally nearby and that the club was safe and she needed not to worry, he proceeds to ask her what happened, she tells him it was an assassination attempts which failed but does expect another attempt on her life soon, she needed to be ready while finding out who the man was, she asks for the club's security tapes to find his face and search for him.
