I always knew who my soulmates were. The marks were pretty much their superhero logo which made it easy. I was fated to the avengers. Yet, it was surprising since I wasn't fated to all of them. Thor was fated to a woman named Jane, Scott and Hope were fated and King T'Challa was fated to Nakia. Pepper to Happy.
I have yet to meet my fated, but I know of them, and keep up with them through the news. I used to have 11 soulmates, but now I have 10. It was a difficult day for me when Pietro was killed.
The pain one feels when a fated dies is the worst thing you can imagine. Yet, the feeling is 100 times worse if you were already mated with them. It's why so many people who are mated die so close to each other. The pain of being apart kills them.
