HEO ARI'S EXPRESSION TWISTED INTO A GRIMACE. The awful bitter aftertaste of her medicine lingering in her throat. No matter how many times she's been obliged to drink the awful concoction, it was as if she'll never get used to it. Sighing, the girl took a big gulp of the tea Kim Do joo had gifted her to wash away the taste of the medicine.

After her successful date with her still unknown suitor, the girl had gone back to her home not waisting any time on changing from the uncomfortable clothes and hairstyle.

Now it was late afternoon the sun had already gone down and the sky was scattered with stars. Heo Ari walked out of the Heo household to go look for her grandfather. She didn't think anything strange about the amount of mages that were outside and continued walking down the path. Of course that was until a sudden commotion started causing everyone to go into fight mode. The once calm atmosphere was filled with tension and the continuous sound of blades crashing against each other made the girl cringe.

Confused but not in the mindset of wanting to get killed, Heo Ari quickly hid inside an alleyway as she heard everything unfold. Her heartbeat had significantly increased causing the bracelet on her left wrist to shine brightly. It wasn't just any bracelet. It had a clear crystal in the middle which each time her heartbeat increased in an alarming rate it blinked a bright white light mimicking her heartbeat. This in case of an emergency would help keep track of how fast her heart is beating.

Said light, illuminated the alleyway causing unwanted attention to shift to her hiding spot. Her eyes widened as she stumble back shifting farther away from the entrance as an unknown man slowly approached her. A wince left the girl's mouth once her back collided with the stoned wall.

There was no escape. Heo Ari reached inside her pocket trying to find the knife she usually carried around in case something like this happened, but her hands found nothing. Desperately, she looked around in hopes of someone finding her. It was hard to focus with all the noise happening around and the annoying light of her bracelet was almost blinding in the confined space of the alleyway. The man had a sinister look on his face and momentarily Heo Ari's gaze fell down taking sight of the large shiny sword in his hand but her attention went back to his face when he spoke.

"There you are, Heo Ari. It was about time we find you." The grin the man wore made the girl's inside twist. She pressed herself even closer to the wall wishing it could just swallow her whole. She didn't have much time to think about what he meant because in the next second a set of footsteps approached the alleyway, which pulled the man's attention away from Heo Ari.

The Heo girl swallowed nervously, her heart beating painfully fast as she watched the newcomer engage in a fight with the creepy man. It was hard to see who her savior was when the light of her bracelet was blinking so intensely. So, instead she closed her eyes silently praying she'll make it out alive. There was no way she had lived all her life worried about dying from her heart condition to later on end up getting killed by some man.
