Chapter 10

Isusubo ko na sana last piece may umeksena pa. Nakakagana talaga mabuhay minsan.

Saglit ko pang dinampot ang robe na nakita ko. Sa pagmamadali di ko na napansin na kay West pala ito.

Pagbukas ko ng pinto bumungad naman sakin ang taong pinakauna sa listahan ng mga ayaw ko makita.

"Oh, Hi Reiven! Is West awake na?" Art said smiling.

I noticed he's holding a box of cake, a teddy bear tucked in his arm and a boquet of roses.

Napakunot naman noo ko.

Why roses? I mean, I know roses are mostly used for romantic interactions, but won't it be better kung yung favourite flowers ni West ang gagamitin nya kung gusto nya manuyo?

Whatever, not my problem anymore.

"Oh.. is that West's robe-" tugon nya nang mapansin ang suot ko na white rabbit themed robe.

I cleared my throat before opening the door.

"Get in, I'll go see if gising na si West."

Art just smiled at me before entering at dumiretso sa sala.

Di ba pwede na at least inintay nya na wala na ako rito sa bahay? Kailangan talaga sya bubungad sakin?

I went upstairs to check if gising na si West. Luckily, pagbukas ko ng pinto ng kwarto ko, she's already up.

She's carefully folding and tucking my bedsheets.

One thing about West, she likes to keep things in order.

"Yo, your boyfriend's here," I said, making her turn her head at me.

She still looks half awake when she gazed at me before frowning.

"Who?"

"Art"

"He ain't- ah yeah whatever, I'm going down in a sec."

I just shrugged my shoulders before closing the door and heading back down. Naabutan ko naman si Art na tahimik na nakaupo while looking at his phone.

"She'll be down in a minute," tugon ko dahilan para magulat sya at agad agad na itinago sa bulsa ang selpon.

Totally not suspicious.

He cleared his throat before flashing a smile and nodding.

Pinabayaan ko nalang at dumiretso sa kusina. Kahit ayaw ko sa buong existence nya, I was raised well naman to know the basic etiquette of how to entertain guests.

I grabbed a glass and pulled out a carton of juice out of the fridge and placed some crackers before serving it on a tray to him.

"Ay! Hala! no need!"

"It's no biggies, can't let my beastie's boyfriend starve," I said with an awkward smile.

Just before the atmosphere could get any weirder, sakto naman bumaba na si West.

This time, sya naman may suot ng robe ko. Well, of course, nasakin yung kanya eh

Ang pinagkaiba kasi ng robes namin is, bunny and white yung kanya, akin blue and shark themed.

"Switching clothes... ha ha, I see," natatawang tugon ni Art at napakamot ng batok.

Umupo na si West sa tabi ni Art before giving him a kiss on the cheeks.

See what I told you, magbabati rin sila kinabukasan.

I excused myself at umakyat na.

Balak ko pa sana magpa late ng pasok, pero baka mabwisit at masira lang araw ko pag tumagal pa ako rito.

Abala ako mabwisit sa kwarto when I felt my phone vibrate inside my pocket.

It was another message from Via. This time she sent me a photo.

It's a photo of her and her niece, Kia.

Via: *sent a photo*
Via: Kia's been doing better since yesterday, she says thankyou for the icecream yesterday.

Reiven: Tell the kid we can always go out for more, basta kasama yung ate *wink emoji*

Via: You're leaving up to the rumours na babaero ka

Reiven: im picky, i only flirt with those who interests me

Via: does this mean, you're interested in me?

Reiven: Kinda?

Via: *sent an emoji*

I can't help but laugh to myself while we're talking.

We haven't even known each other for at least a week, im already comfortable talking to her.

I was caught off guard when West, who's leaning on the door and looking at me cleared her throat.

"Weird to see you smile at your phone."

"Puro ka reklamo, pag nakasimangot reklamo rin."

"It's not that. You seem.... to be enjoying sa kausap mo?" she said raising her brows.

I felt my cheeks heat up just by thinking of Via.

"None of your business. Why are you here? nasa baba jowa mo," I said before rolling my eyes.

"I forgot my phone," she said with a dry smile bago naglakad papunta sa drawer at kinuha selpon nya.

Before leaving, she turned to me and smiled.

"Good for you, nice seeing you happy with someone else," she said before closing the door behind her.

Nangunot naman noo ko.

What does she mean by that?
