I was in the middle of something. I don't even know what.

It looked similar to flour, what they were trading.

But the smell wasn't that of flour.

Smoke permeated the aor, as did the stench of alcohol.

One person saw me and screamed.

"You must be the person I have to save." I said with a smile.

He just gaped at me.

The other people in the room looked at him like he was crazy.

"What is it J?" Asked one man.

"Can you not see her?" The man, named J apparently, asked the others in the room.

"See who?" The man asked again.

"My name is Samantha, and they can't see me. You can though, so if you'd follow me, the sooner the better, then I can help you." I told him, holding out my hand. He grasped it and shook.

"I'm J." J said. The men shook their heads.

"We know J." They said, looking at him like he was crazy.

"Right then. Come with me J." I said as I walked out, my full length dress swishing around my feet.

"I- I gotta go. Bye. I have, uh, something I have to go and, uh, do. Bye?" J said as he ran after me.

"Bye?" Some of the other people said.

J turned the corner after me, and then stopped.

"Okay. Who are you?" He demanded.

"I am Samantha Red. It's nice to meet you, J, I assume." I said politely.

"Yeah, yeah, nice to meet ya too. Why can't anyone else see ya but me?" He asked irritated.

"Because I'm here for you. To save your soul." I said.

"You're crazy lady!" He said, clearly confused.

"If I'm crazy, then you're an angel." I scoffed.

"I'm no angel." J stated.

"And I'm not crazy so there. Now I need you to change your ways. As soon as you do, I can leave you alone." I said, hoping it would be that simple.

"And why would I do that?" He asked arrogantly.

I sighed.

I knew hoping was useless.

Just like him.
