*This poem is dedicated to a young girl who passed away from cancer, Talia Joy. Her "motto" was Just Keep Swimming.
Just Keep Swimming
What would you do
With only 14 years?
Would you give them your all
Or hide from your fears?
Through Talia's long journey
Her spirit constantly shimmering
She always found a way
To just keep swimming.
Much of her life
Was a game of survival
An ongoing war
With cancer as her rival.
She would just keep swimming
To make it through the day
But with such a great sickness
She found no way.
Finally she knew
It was the end of her battle
So she went on a trip
Up to God's castle.
