Sun rays pierced through the narrow gap between the curtains and settled on Sarah's face. The relentless disturbance caused by the glistening of sun rays coerced her to wake up and reluctantly leave bed. Sarah and her husband, Luke McGrath had a cursory breakfast and hastened towards the car. The ride to the hospital was quiet as they both agreed with the decision but were not happy about it. When the car stopped in front of the hospital, Luke asked Sarah was she ready? Sarah gave a wan nod and they both unwillingly proceeded to the hospital.

Sarah and Luke had met each other at a party, and the moment they encountered one another's gaze, they knew they were meant to be together. They spent time and got to know each other and kept on falling in love.

Subsequently, they married and started a new life which oozed out glee. One day Sarah got promoted to a better position in her office which marked the initial step of the staircase of success. However, she came across a hindrance in the way of her dream.

Luke and Sarah both had a fake smile on their faces through which they feigned that they were happy. However, they were thoroughly shattered by the news of the baby Sarah had conceived. They both tried to coerce themselves to be happy but the unborn baby was taken as an obstacle in the way to success. Therefore, Sarah and Luke discussed and mutually decided to abort it.

At the hospital, Sarah was sitting precariously in front of a document which had to be signed so that the abortion proceedings could be ratified. She perched the pen in her right hand after fiddling with it. After mustering some courage, she settled to sign but abruptly, she started gasping and her spindly arms started rattling. Her eyes welled and beads of tears exuded out, rolling down her naturally blushed cheeks. She felt the presence of something related to her, perhaps a part of her; as she assumed, inside her belly making subtle movements by its microscopic existence. She felt it clearly and completely. She knew the message that it was trying to convey, 'please don't let me go'. Subsequently, Sarah jerked the pen away, took a lung- shaking breath to amalgamate her wavered soul and put her right hand on her belly. She slowly whispered to her baby, "Yes my love, I will never let go."

A minute later, Luke entered the room and Sarah's emotions explained everything to him. His feet jolted into motion and stopped in front of Sarah. He gave her a warm and solacing hug and whispered in her ears, "never let go".

Four years after that day, Luke and Sarah along with their little bundle of joy, Emma, were cavorting in their backyard. Luke and Sarah had achieved their goals and their baby proved to be a good luck rather than an obstacle. Their faces were glistening with bouquets of happiness and satisfaction.
