Vidhyut, the elder son of a poor family with a humble background. A family man and if correctly described "The son of a generous man."

Shantilal ji was a Government school teacher in Uttar Pradesh. He was an honest and humble man. He wanted to educate each child of his village and had been serving as a school principal for the last 6 years. Under his leadership many children had completed their education till 10th standard in the village of Gangura. He was respected and appreciated by the Poor people but the rich and upper caste were against him due to this equal treatment for all the children.

Shantilal ji wanted his children to be on the same path as him, he wanted them to serve and work for the poor but his Son didn't agree with his father's idea. He wanted his family happiness above all. Vidhyut had lost his mother due to Tuberculosis at a young age of 11 due to funds unavailability with his father , he didn't want to  lose any other closed ones.

His Father understood him and let him pursue his dreams with a condition to always give back to the society. The family was happy and contended with all that was available to them. Vidhyut's father was going to retire and he was there on a small break when he met Sandhya. She was beautiful and intelligent. A fierce girl with her own dreams. He fell in love with her but he kept the distance. she took him by surprise, when she proposed to him on his next visit to the village.

"Meet me at the village temple after Surya puja." Her message read.

"Okay." He gave the reply.

At the Temple

She was done with her puja and was waiting for him while savouring the Prasad. Their Prasad was made daily in her house backyard canteen. The place was reserved for the preparation of food and Prasad used for Temple and other various events organised by the temple A K A The Haweli.

Her family was not the only wealthy family in their village but they have the most respected and just ancestors. Her family followed the caste system strictly and because of that only the Zamindar have the norms which the temple priests also follow.

"I was told you love to sleep." Vidhyut spoke standing in front of her mainting a distance.

She looked at him and smiled.

"Namaste." He greeted her.

"Namaste."  She greeted back.

There was silence. None knew what to speak. She was puzzled. He was waiting.

They saw Shantilal ji and his daughter Shalini coming their way. She greeted them. Vidhyut excused himself saying he will complete the Pradakshina and will head home.

Shantilal ji and Shalini took their leave after shantilal ji inquiring about Kalyan Chowdhury health and well being.

Sandhya went to mandir and requested for another bowl of Prasad. The nervousness was kicking in and the man she was nervous about had the most calm face ever.

She hasn't slept the whole night and her appetite had been down since she started understanding and analysis her situation. She understood she had to be brave.

Vidhyut had completed his pradakshina and was waiting for his turn for Prasad when Sandhya fall down. She was daughter of Zamindar house hold and there were many witnesses to the scenario.

Vidhyut acted fast and asked for water. Once she opened her eyes the priest instructed Vidhyut to carry her inside the temple guest house. Kalyan Chowdhury and family were informed.

Vidhyut had put her guest bed and helped her drink water when on request of priest the people gathered were asked to wait outside. Sensing the right time Sandhya whispered in Vidhyut ears, " I love you."

He was taken by surprise would be understatement. He was baffled. It was Sandhya who had lost consciousness a while back but the color of Vidhyut face told some other story. Tension was visible on his face and in that moment he needed air he felt suffocated. He knew what awaits. He had felt the pull earlier also but he didn't want to responds back.

Before he could understand what situation he was in. The loud murmuring of people gave him a clue about her father arrival. The loving father kneel down and examine his daughter. He loved her more than his life and the doctor from the Government hospital came and visit her. She was checked and doctor requested to take blood samples as her BP was fine and just needed some rest.

Sandhya's  father thanked Vidhyut and priest for attending her and took their leave. Vidhyut went home and was lost. When asked he ignored stating they misinterpreting.

Around 12:00 pm the Zamindars have sent a thank you message with Sandhya's favourite Mithai as a token of appreciation for the help towards their beloved daughter.

Vidhyut's father happily accepted the sweet and inquired about Sandhya's health from the employee of Zamindar house hold.

Shalini knew about Sandhya's liking towards her brother and when sweet arrived she knew their planned worked. Vidhyut lost face was evident but she wanted to knew if he replied to her.

She asked her father permission to meet Sandhya and he said yes. She asked her Brother to accompany her but he refused.

Shalini complained her father and Vidhyut was ordered by Shantilal ji to go with her.

Shalini and Vidhyut arrived to the Haweli and Shalini was escorted to Sandhya's room. She hugged her friend and asked for privacy.

" Tell me." Shalini demanded.

"The color of his face was lost, he didn't speak and blink after I confessed ."

"He is downstairs."

Sandhya eyes kit up thinking he is here to meet her but Shalini next words buried her hopes.

"He wasn't ready to come here, so I had to complain about him to Pitaji."

Vidhyut was seated there and Sandhya's mother and Chachi have filled the table with all varieties of sweets and farsan. Vidhyut was puzzled by the events of today.

If this family had known the reality then instead of sweets there would be men holding lath in their hand to beat him to death.

He had responsibility on his shoulder. He wanted a bright future for his little sister. He had no aim to become a Victim of this crazy girl love games

He was a son of a common man living a common life, he had witnessed many injustices in his life but he never for once complained as he knew that there are  others living the life worst than him. He had responsibility and he was working to change the conditions of his family. He wanted his  father to move out of the Village.

He was not prepared to be dragged in this scenario. He requested the zamindar house hold ladies to call Shalini as he wanted to held back home. His request was obliged and Shalini was called. Without touching any item from the table, Vidhyut stood up and ask the permission to leave with his sister.
