Lets Go

I left Nathaniel's last night, or should I say basically got kicked out after offering to help clean up.

As I exited the door, he grabbed me by the hips and gave me a goodnight kiss, and I couldn't help the smile that smeared over my face at the thought of his actions.

"Casey what's wrong. Are you okay?" Ellie comes rushing up to me.

Placing her hand over my forehead, checking for a fever she says, "Why are you smiling?"

I scoff, whacking her hand away from my face and roll my eyes at her antics, and push past her towards my locker.

She continues, "okay but seriously, I have a right to know what's making my best friend so happy"

As she's in the middle of talking I look behind her and see Nathaniel entering the hallway, as our eyes lock I immediately break eye contact and look down to the ground, a light red tinting my cheeks.

What are you two years old?

When have you ever acted like this?

Ellie follows my line of shift after my lack of response and a knowing look masks her face, "or should I say who?" she changes her question.

With that I slam my locked door shut, and roll my eyes for what feels like the 100th time that morning.

The 3rd period bell rings after too long and I make my way to chemistry.

As I am about to walk through the door a tall figure blocks me and I look up to meet Nathaniel's eyes.

He leans down, and gently runs his finger along the side of my face and leans down to whisper in my ear, "Let's get out of here".

Goosebumps litter my skin at his touch and butterflies invade my stomach as he pulls away, leaving me wishing for the contact to return.

"I can't" The words that come out of my mouth betray my thoughts, and he can tell.

"I'm not taking no for an answer, especially after last night."

Okay I know I should say no. I know I should do anything but go with him right now.

But my body is betraying me right now, I even stepped closer to him unknowingly.

So don't judge the next words that come out of my mouth.

"Let's go"
