The loud music, the lights and people dancing around like nothing was important anymore in the world.

This was helping for sure, the loud music and the liquid tasting against his tongue and tracing down his throat, the bitterness in it helping him to forget everything.

But the bitterness also made him feel hollow amidst everything.

The beeping of the machines, the oxygen mask-- everything just to indicate the person was still alive.

The sound of the machine was the only hope he was holding onto, hope--gave such a grey feeling sometimes, not completely positive or negative.

If it turns out to be negative--

Just then the beeping increased, only to have been flatlined.

"There are no happy endings. Endings are the saddest part, so just give me a happy middle and a very happy start."
