Booking a reservation for them was an impulsive decision, but one he thought had to be done. The moment Taehyung informed him that the bright attorney was mated to a regular omega; he knew he had to talk to them. What better option than seeing them together?
Attorney Kim could hide a few things about their relationship if they talked alone but Jimin needed to see them with his own eyes to see how it worked. Half an hour into the lunch, Jimin had to inhale at least twice to confirm Myung was indeed a regular omega.
They were just like his parents—intimate and loving. Attorney Kim's attention was on his mate the entire time. As Myung fed their pup first, barely eating anything, Attorney Kim paused eating to feed his omega mate.
Jimin watched their interaction intently, wheels turning in his head. Once done, Myung excused himself with their pup to the bathroom. Attorney Kim squeezed Myung's hand with a smile and Jimin noticed some sort of understanding pass through their gazes.
"Now tell me, Jimin-ssi." Attorney Kim turned his attention to Jimin with a bright smile. "What did you want to talk about?" He pulled his plate toward him and began to cut his meat patiently, popping a piece into his mouth.
Jimin exhaled. "My dad wants me to marry Jungkook."
Attorney Kim hummed. "What about you? What do you want?" He spooned some rice, chewing the meat as he glanced up at Jimin.
"I like him and I want him," Jimin said. "I haven't felt this way around anyone before. Jungkook is independent and self-assured. My wolf respects him and finds his strength attractive." He sat back, pushing back the half-eaten plate. "I'm drawn to him for reasons I can't explain."
"And it bothers you that he's a regular omega," the attorney stated with an understanding grin.
Jimin nodded. "Jungkook isn't just any omega." He tapped his fingers on the table, unable to decide how much he should reveal. "He's not like the others. I can't afford to hurt him."
"Your dad is his legal guardian." Attorney Kim ate another piece of meat, chewing it slowly. "My office processed the papers for him and we took care of all the legalities."
Jimin exhaled loudly. "I'm sitting in front of you because his mother saved my life when I was seven. She died that day." Attorney Kim stopped chewing, brows pulled into a frown. "That's not the only reason. I genuinely like him and my wolf goes crazy around him, because of him. I've never felt this way around anyone else. It is nothing like those passing flings or crushes I've experienced. Trust me, I've dated enough people yet no one has ever made me feel this way. When it comes to him...I just..."
"Want to claim him, possess him, have him in any way possible," Attorney Kim completed and Jimin's shoulder drooped. "Have you considered if your wolf might have been imprinted on him?"
"I haven't known him for that long." There was defeat in Jimin's voice.
That one week without Jungkook and the way he reacted after meeting him made him realize a lot. So Jimin wasn't going to let his pride and ego get in the way. He knew what he wanted and he wanted Jungkook.
Attorney Kim resumed eating. "Time isn't a factor when it comes to imprinting. It's a way your wolf identifies a potential partner. Imprinting also doesn't always mean that you have to mate more than a person. You could be good friends."
"I want to be more than his friend. I want everything he can offer," Jimin's reply was immediate.
Just friendship alone wasn't enough. There was that surge of possessiveness again. He couldn't stomach the thought of Jungkook looking at anyone else the way he looked at Jimin. He wanted to be the only one in Jungkook's life and be the reason for his smiles. He wanted to be the only one Jungkook addressed as his alpha.
