A Small Incident

{Scotts POV}

Sitting on the edge of my bed i was fidgeting with my tail
wrapping it around my fingers and running my fingers along the end of it
Todays been a quiet day in the rattic
Which was kinda nice!
Though something felt.. off for some reason?
I was used to the feeling of my throat stinging from the overwhelming floral and seedy smell
And the usual headaches from tobys screaming
Though i hadnt farmed or barely even left my house today
yes i cooked meals for everyone like normal
but that was all
Maybe a walk! yeah, the gardens pretty and i can gather some new flowers and seeds to experiment with!!
So i slipped on my small brown and cyan boots and headed outside over to Eloises 
The window and the balcony were the better ways out, and ide nearly fallen off owens before so i rarely go out there
So i was just walking around the rattic for a minute, trying to regulate my movements before going outside

"HI SCOTTT!!" martyn called
"Oh Hey martyn!" i called, smiling
"Wherve ya been all day? Bek's been looking for you" he questioned
"Oh mostly in my house, got some interior done and just kinda wanted a day without tobys screaming" I smiled
"Your normally not bothered by the loud noises?" He quizzed
".. .." staying silent i screamed at myself in my head

'JUST SAY SOMETHING!!!'

'why do you care so much!?'

'DOES IT EVEN MATTER WHAT YOU SAY?!'

'SNAP OUT OF IT!!'

"scott?" martyn questioned
"sorry just- zoned out for a second" i fakely smiled
"well where ya goinngggg" he asked, circling me which just made me dizzy
"just a walk in the garden" i informed him
"Well have fun mr. farmer!" he teased and walked away

i sighed, jumping up the wall and into the cracked window
I ignored the slight calling of my name from Bekyamon in the background
I slid down the wall and touched the soft grass for the first time in what felt like ages
Despite how much i loved the garden and the outside i felt as if i couldnt enjoy it
Like there was nothing i could enjoy

'You just feel this way because of the episode.. youll feel fine later.'

I hissed inside my own head and continued on my walk
i picked a few small flowers on my way and settled on top of one of the planters
I heard something rustle outside of the fences and my whole body tensed up
my long rat like tail wrapped around my legs, hugging me close together, pressing my knees against my chest
until the noise drifted further away

'back to the house.. now.. now.. now.. back to the house..!'

i screamed in my head

but my body couldnt move

until i finally pushed myself hard enough to stand, though immediately fell off the side of the wooden planter
i stood up quickly, ignoring the new throb of pain that had entered my wrist from falling
I ran probably faster than i had before despite the fact i felt drained and exhausted
though i made it up to the window once more
and fell through the crack in the glass, quickly moving myself off my side and backed up against the harsh brick wall
i sat there for around 5 minutes before forcing myself to stand
using the brick wall to stabilize myself
i heard footsteps

"Back already?" Martyn asked
"Oh u- i- yeah.. heard something beyond the fence." i mumbled quietly
"whyd it scare you if its behind the fence?" he asked, confused
"i..i.. dunno.." i muttered
"did something happen?" he asked, frowning
"No- no im-fine" i spoke, still staying quiet, though then my un-injured hand was grabbed
"What happened." he spoke sternly
"I- just got scared.." i frowned
he looked down and over, Now grabbing my injured hand 
"what. happened." he hissed again
"..fell off a planter..." i frowned and he hugged me
"want me to walk you to El's? that- doesnt look good" he muttered, all i could do was nod, i didnt have the energy to speak more
Martyn kept hold of my un injured hand as we walked over to El's
Soon martyn knocked lightly on El's door and she opened the door
my head stayed hung low and i stayed close to martyns side
"Hey guys!.. Need something?" Eloise yawned cheerful as ever
"Assistance-" martyn sighed
"wittthhhh-?" she questioned
"yknow, come in!" she smiled and stepped off to the side

So we did, she shut the door and sat us down

"So, whats happened?" she asked, raising an eyebrow
"i- uh- fell off a planter outside- and landed on my hand" i laughed it off, suddenly feeling fine
she gently grabbed my wrist
"There is a cut, and its swollen so it may be sprained, can you tell me when or where it hurts?" she asked
"The cut stings but i dont really feel any-THING- oh god-" my entire demeaner changed when she pressed down on a certain spot
"im taking that as a sprain, can you move it at all?" she asked and i rolled it lightly in a circle
"only that far, feels tight otherwise" i spoke, keeping a straight face trying to contain my sudden burst of energy
"yeah, ill take that as a sprain, Martyn im trusting you to make sure he ices it, until then keep this bandage on it, so watch closely what im doing" she smiled and sat back down from grabbing a bandage
We both watched her wrap it, which she did neatly from stolen bandages she found in the humans bathroom
"Thank you El!" i smiled
"No problem, come to me if ya need anything!" she smiled
"will do!" i spoke with the newly found energy
Me and martyn walked out
"So, whats with the newfound burst of energy? its the middle of the night-" he laughed
"I dont know- probably going to farm to pass the time though!" i lied, i was used to hiding this..
"Yeahhh. No. No farming, you go inside and ice your wrist, be smart-" he sighed
"Fineeeee" i sighed and he guided me to my house
"Dont be dumb, please" he sighed
"no promises Martyn" i laughed
he laughed and made his way back to his house
i went inside mine taking off my boots and down the hallway
I sat down on my bed, laying down shortly after
but i couldnt sleep
i was newly awake
not energetic
just awake
and i couldnt fall asleep
i was just there
Breathing
playing with the end of my tail

Four hours later
at 3:47 AM 

I finally fell asleep
my tail wrapped around my legs
my ears drooped and my hat lying on the floor beside me
Just me, and my dreams now..

Or nightmares, who am i to say
