Chapter 8:No one expects the Minus Inquisition

Start from the beginning

Hide:Crap! We gotta go!

The two left the money in a hurry and bolted to the door. Meanwhile, Kumagawa continued the conversation unperturbed.

Kumagawa:[Ah, so she's affected by being away from her father.]

Ryouko:Yes. Hinami is still a child and I understand how she feels, but there's nothing we can do about it currently.

Kumagawa:[I couldn't say. My parents were neglectful, so I never felt the need to be close to them or seek their affection.]

Ryouko:Oh...Well, he used to be in some serious dealings in the 13th Ward, but completly broke off it once Hinami was born.

Kumagawa:[...13th, you say?]

Ryouko:Yes.

Kumagawa:[I swear, it's like that number it's haunting me...]

Ryouko:Eh?

Maybe it was only him being suspicious. From his time at Hakoniwa the thirtheen number seemed to appear quiet often.

Kumagawa:[Nothing. Anyway, I think you should try spending time together. If she's so attached to family, than your presence would assure her.]

Ryouko:You're right. You're very understanding, Kumagawa-kun!

Later that day Kumagawa was helping Hinami with a reading lesson. Those were going on for a while now, stemming from her request for her and his immense amount of free time.

Rize was currently out of the Ward, searching for the ghoul that supposedly seeked the Fueguchi father. She seemed to share some familiarity to him.

From what Kumagawa found out, this ghoul went by the alias Jason and wore a hookey mask. In his opinion, he watche Friday the 13th one too many times...Oh, there it was again. That number really was haunting him.

Touka:So I wasn't the only want to think that.

Kaneki:Now that you say it...

They turned to look at Yamori for the answer. The ghoul had only shrugged his shoulders in disinteres.

Yamori:What? It's a good franchise.

Koutaro:...How has he managed to escape us for such a long time?

Hinami:Is that right?

Kumagawa:[Yeah, you got it.]

Hinami:Yay! Hey, where's Onee-chan? I haven't seen her in a while.

Kumagawa:[She took some free days. Maybe it's because I tried touching her wings.]

Hinami:Eh!? Onee-chan has wings!? Like an angel!? I didn't know!

Kumagawa:[Yeah, they're really pretty! Although a proportion of one of them seems to be missing, so maybe that's a sensitive for her. But I think that could also selve as a warning.]

Hinami:A warning?

Kumagawa:[Oh? You don't know, Hinami-chan? There's an old saying. You should alwais be afraid of the angels that have lost their wings and the devils that have hidden their horns.]

Hinami:...That's really deep.

Kumagawa:[Yep!]

Touka:I feel like the second part is just refeering to himself.

Najimi:You would be right.

That was the case for both him and a lot of other minuses. Like Kumagawa, Mukae and Hanosode don't look threathening at all, yet they are opponents wjo would be very unlucky for any gullible sap to come against.
